A seamless payment doesn’t announce itself. You book, you travel, you arrive, and the amount is settled automatically against a card or method you saved earlier. There is no moment of fumbling, no question about whether the driver can break a 1,000-shilling note, no conversation about “system problems” or a missing float #PayWithVisa sokodirectory.com/2026/10/th…
Kenyans have never been shy about adopting technology that makes life easier. We were mobile money pioneers long before much of the world caught on, and that habit of embracing convenience has shaped what people now expect from every app on their phone. #PayWithVisa sokodirectory.com/2026/10/th…
What Should We Do When Weather Behaves Abornomally? sokodirectory.com/2026/10/wh…
Walk into a shop today and you'll notice something different at the till. More Kenyan merchants are ditching the "read out the till or paybill number" routine and putting up QR codes instead. @SafaricomPLC #ScanToPay sokodirectory.com/2026/10/wh…

It’s also faster. The customer scans, sees the business name, enters the amount, and confirms. The payment is done in seconds. Faster checkouts mean happier customers and more sales processed. @SafaricomPLC #ScanToPay sokodirectory.com/2026/10/wh…
As more merchants adopt this, paying by phone stops being a novelty and becomes true infrastructure. Whether you run a kiosk or a retail store, the code on the counter is making commerce smoother. @SafaricomPLC #ScanToPay sokodirectory.com/2026/10/wh…
We all know the routine: you ask for the till number, the seller reads it out, you type it in, and you pray you didn't swap two digits. Safaricom’s new Scan to Pay is here to kill that anxiety. Just scan, confirm, and go. @SafaricomPLC #ScanToPay

But safety first. When you scan, always check the business name that appears on your screen before you hit confirm. Traders, keep your codes visible and ensure nobody has stuck another code over yours. @SafaricomPLC #ScanToPay sokodirectory.com/2026/10/fr…
Kenya became a mobile money leader because paying by phone was easier than the alternative. Scan to Pay follows the exact same logic. Next time you're at a stall, look for the code and give it a go. @SafaricomPLC #ScanToPay sokodirectory.com/2026/10/fr…
Ksh 402 Billion in pending bills rendered unpayable:

Of the Sh235.6 billion recommended, Sh80.3 billion owed to road contractors has been paid through securitisation. A verified balance of Sh155.3 billion remains.

Earnings growth in India has recovered and the economy absorbed this year's oil shock better than expected, but international investors remain hesitant to return:
Nifty 50 companies' profits grew around 18% in the quarter to June, the strongest in ten quarters, while credit growth climbed from about 14% before the Gulf conflict to around 18%.
Despite the recovery, share prices have yet to follow, with the market's forward price-to-earnings ratio now below its ten-year average.
Most large active emerging market funds are underweight India, and foreign ownership is at a 15-year low of around 15%, with domestic investors taking their share to a record 19%.
India's fundamentals have moved ahead of its share prices, presenting an opportunity for patient investors to buy quality domestic growth companies before sentiment turns.
