1/ 10,000+ downloads. One SDK. Now with programmable privacy. Starkzap has integrated STRK20, bringing shielded balances, private transfers, and private DeFi to its complete money toolkit. A new way for developers to bring privacy into their apps 🧵

How do you prove 1 million transactions without proving 1 million transactions at once? Recursive STARKs. A technology StarkWare pioneered in production, used by Starknet today, and soon coming to Ethereum.

Listened this morning to @danboneh on @a16zcrypto talking about Lattice-based vs hash-based signatures security/usability tradeoffs, and how recursive proofs could fit in but they are complicated and we don't yet understand their theoretical security well enough. If only we had a company that deployed recursive proofs in production for years, is led by cryptographers, and built @Starknet , which allows you to choose your own signatures to best leverage your usecase, and is now also looking at solving PQS. Know someone like that? 👀

big news for STARKs and all hashes. 1. speedup until quantum computers rip curves. 2. quantum computers mainly fck with beautiful structures like curves (ECDSA). for ugly stuff like hashes (eg. STARKS) there is no benefit with quantum computers.
Today Physical Superintelligence PBC is announcing a proof of the Aaronson-Ambainis conjecture, one of the central open problems in quantum complexity, with major implications for quantum computing speedup. psi.inc/research/aaronson-am… Thread 👇

Cairo is the most powerful programming languages for building onchain. And thanks to AI, it's now accessible to everyone. Pivot to Cairo.

Hear it from one of Starknet's top builders: teapaw.org/lordOfAFew/status/2109…
One of the biggest barriers to @Starknet adoption was the difficulty of Cairo. The latest models like Opus 5.5 entirely crush it. And for those that don’t know, Cairo is an absolute monster for the most complex of smart contracts. Larger contract size, greater provable compute. Go nuts. Literally go nuts. Build the most complex distributed system you can think of!

I’ve been talking about privacy, post quantum security, l1 thesis and few apps that we’ve been building over at starkware at few panels and key notes in the past few days. it was extremely a pleasure talking about all of it and the more i zoom out, the more bullish i get on the private programmable post quantum secure l1, starknet. programmable zec coded. trillions.

1/ Starknet is the only network to pass all 8 cryptographic agility checks. It's also in the lower-exposure, lower-friction group on our post-quantum migration map. But it's not fully quantum-safe yet. Here's what's ready and what's missing 🧵

8/ One major dependency remains: Ethereum. Starknet's data blobs rely on Ethereum's quantum-vulnerable KZG commitments. This is why we're exploring migrating Starknet to its own independent L1. teapaw.org/StarkWareLtd/status/21…
Should Starknet become an independent L1? It's time for the community to have its say. STRK stakers and delegaters can now participate in the first, non-binding governance vote on this potential transition 👇 governance.starknet.io/#/s:s…

9/ The main takeaway? Starknet can seamlessly upgrade its cryptography to become fully post-quantum secure. We’re not there yet, but we’re aiming to complete the transition by 2027. Read the full analysis: starkware.co/blog/what-chain…

2018: The original STARK paper is published. 2021: Starknet launches, using STARKs to scale Ethereum. 2021: Facebook open-sources Winterfell, a general-purpose STARK prover and verifier. 2026: Google & Europol highlight STARKs in their research on post-quantum blockchain security. 2026: Anthropic builds on STARK cryptography to make AI inference verifiable with FlashProve. Very interesting trajectory.

4/ With Starkzap, developers can access Starknet's DeFi and privacy tools through a single SDK, without having to piece together multiple integrations. Adding privacy to your app is now as simple as one line of code: > npm install starkzap
