The conditions allowing for the safe return of Ms. Machado to Venezuela is the direct result of the U.S. supported reconciliation talks which has already seen hundreds of political prisoners freed and hundreds of political opposition figures return from exile.
The United States expects the freedoms of all sectors of Venezuelan politics to continue to be respected. Likewise, we expect all political actors to support these talks which represent the best chance Venezuela has had in thirty years to peacefully achieve not just a free and fair election but an enduring democracy.
The United States condemns the horrific attack on a funeral service at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Hammoud, Karak, Jordan. We offer our deepest condolences to the families of those killed and pray for the swift recovery of the injured.
The United States stands with His Majesty @KingAbdullahII, the people of Jordan, and Jordan’s Christian community against those who seek to sow division and target people for practicing their faith.
There is no U.S.-Turkey proposal concerning Lebanon, nor are there any U.S.-backed proposals to change the structure of Lebanese politics established by the Taif Accords.
The United States remains fully committed to working with Lebanon and Israel on the Trilateral Framework to end the cycle of conflict once and for all by implementing its key pillars:
-Disarming Hizballah, a terrorist proxy of Iran
-Achieving long-term security for Israel and Lebanon
-Establishing peaceful neighborly relations between both countries, with mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
We welcome support from international partners in achieving those goals.
Iran rejected a plan to disarm Hezbollah proposed by Speaker Nabih Berri, as suggested by Turkey and the US administration. Iran wants Hezbollah to become stronger than ever and not to be disarmed.
The communication between Hezbollah and Berri is not optimal when Berri sent a delegation to meet with the Iranian speaker Qalibaf without Hezbollah's knowledge. The Turkish-US proposal consisted of sharing power equally between the Christian, Shia and Sunni, the head of the army to be a Shia and the delivery of all heavy weapons to Iran.
Hezbollah also wanted to withdraw from the government, but Berri refused to pull his ministers and for the Shia to leave the government.
The United States welcomes the conclusion of the latest round of Venezuela’s political reconciliation talks, which focused on expanding political freedom and participation. This Venezuelan-led process continues to strengthen democratic institutions, expand political freedoms, and lay the groundwork for free, fair, and credible elections.

The United States is disturbed by today’s developments at the Central Bank of Libya (CBL). Efforts to interfere with the CBL’s technocratic integrity and independence carry a significant risk of undermining Libya’s financial and economic stability. The United States will continue to partner with Libyan stakeholders to help Libya address its economic challenges and achieve stability and security for the Libyan people.
The definition of fake news.
We have denied their false claims multiple times and were clear from the beginning that merit determines promotions. They distorted our response to push their baseless narrative.
New name after their rebrand from “NOTUS,” same bad-faith “journalism.”
SCOOP: The State Dept has started asking career diplomats up for promotion if they voted for Trump in 16, 20, 24.
Federal law prohibits politically based hiring for career staff.
State tells @washingtonsun it's screening for "fidelity" and execution of the president's vision👇
The United States is imposing visa restrictions on 40 individuals in Bolivia to root out criminal networks across our hemisphere.
A visa is a privilege and not a right. The United States is imposing visa restrictions on 21 individuals in Colombia to root out criminal networks across our hemisphere.

Despite what we provided to this outlet, they chose to both completely misrepresent what we provided and run with a false narrative.
Specifically, they misrepresented the concept of "fidelity." "Fidelity" refers to upholding the Constitution and the law and executing policy with loyalty to the American people and their interests.
It emphasizes the critical importance of service, integrity, and policy alignment across the Foreign Service.
It is not about partisan behavior but rather about executing the President’s vision for foreign policy.

This is inaccurate. The U.S. Department of State issued an ordered departure for non-emergency U.S. government employees and their family members in Saudi Arabia only.
Iranian-supported Houthis have increasingly engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure resulting in civilian casualties and severe travel disruptions.
The safety and security of Department personnel and their families remain our highest priority, and we will continue to take all necessary steps to protect and support them.

Under Operation Economic Outcast, the United States is sanctioning Karnakis and Karnakis, a law firm based in Panama and Greece for creating shell companies to hide the owners of ships carrying Iranian oil.
Over 110 Americans unjustly detained overseas have been brought home.
When President Trump says his priority is the safety and security of the American people at home and abroad, he means it.
Visa security is border security.
We have revamped our visa vetting and visa screening to ensure the safety of the American people.
Every visa decision is a national security decision, and that standard doesn’t stop once a visa is issued.
If someone breaks the law or threatens our national security, that’s grounds for visa revocation. So far, the Trump administration has revoked over 300,000 visas.
With over 300,000 revocations, the Trump administration has revoked more visas at a faster pace than any administration in history.
Let the message be clear: we have zero tolerance for foreigners here on visas who break the law, commit fraud, or undermine our national security. We are taking, and will continue to take, action to keep our borders, and our nation, secure.
