It's only 10am and this may already be the worst day of press I've ever seen for a candidate in a competitive election: - The piece below is *brutal* - Another brutal piece in NJ.com: nj.com/politics/2026/10/is-t… - Lost the Philly Inq endorsement: inquirer.com/opinion/editori… - Lost the North Jersey endorsement: northjersey.com/story/opinio…
Republican Congressman Tom Kean Jr. disappeared for months. As he fights for political survival in the midterms, he’s barely emerging from the shadows. nymag.com/intelligencer/arti…

All kinds of birds and marine life depend on menhaden as a food source, but industrial menhaden harvesting is putting these species at risk. That's why @SenBooker and I have joined with anglers and environmentalists in fighting for major reductions to menhaden harvests so we can protect the Jersey Shore's wildlife and way of life.

Since January, Mayor James Solomon has cracked down on corporations that weren’t paying their fair share of Jersey City’s payroll tax.

Developers who fail to live up to their promises will be held accountable. I am suing the developer who delivered an unsafe, unstable Coles Street Park in violation of his promises. I’ll keep the community updated on our progress reconstructing the park and recouping the costs.

AI cracking unsolvable math problems while being kinda mid at writing is a much-needed W for humanities majors after a rough 21st century.

I'm gonna both sides this because it is both sides. Powerful NJ Democrats and Republicans worked to pare down pensions for regular public workers. But when it came to their political allies, they did the opposite, even passing special laws to boost their pensions.

NJ Senate President proposes handout to freaking CAR DEALERSHIPS, a class whose business model consists of scamming as much money out of ordinary folks as possible, and whose owners are among the top donors to local Republicans. Classic NJ corruption, baby.
This new bill is a Musk-see. NJ's top state lawmaker seeks to repeal an 11-year-old law that allows Tesla to sell directly by exempting electric car makers from having to sell through dealerships. Scutari is not the first to propose this, but he's by far the most powerful.

The effort to restore fusion voting in Kansas is headed to the state Supreme Court, marking its final opportunity to secure full consideration of its legal arguments. The case could have significant implications for ballot access, party competition, and voter choice in the state. @UnitedKansas cjonline.com/story/news/poli…

We should not be celebrating technology that can deceive people and blur the distinction between what's real and what's fake! It should be illegal -- plain and simple -- for any AI to impersonate a human being without a clear and visible disclaimer that it is, in fact, AI.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

Minnesota will pay you up to $400 to turn your lawn into wildflowers. The program is called Lawns to Legumes. Since 2019, Minnesotans have used it to plant more than 12,500 patches of native flowers, clover and pollinator habitat. That's over 20 million square feet, in every one of the state's 87 counties. It's built for pollinators in trouble, like monarchs and the rusty patched bumble bee. That's Minnesota's state bee, and it's federally endangered. Renters can apply too, not just homeowners. And people want in. The first time around, more than 12,000 Minnesotans applied for about 2,300 grants. Applications for spring 2027 are open now through November 30. If you live in Minnesota, apply.

Americans are hungry for more moderation, problem-solving, and cooperation—but our election laws often force voters into two opposing camps. Fusion voting offers a way to build coalitions without wasting votes. Protecting the dominance of the major parties is not a compelling state interest; protecting voters' freedom to associate and organize is.
