This is how easily a deceptively edited video can convince millions of (gullible) people to believe something that never happened. Just like the “Fine people on both sides” hoax. I’m actually really surprised by this one, because it’s just so fake. The “price” Trump is referring to is the increased price of gas. And he isn’t telling Iran to bomb US cities. He’s saying that’s what could’ve happened had we not intervened in Iran’s nuclear program. Here’s the quote with full context, and helpful notes for people who refuse to watch the full 3 minute clip to understand: “And again, remember, with the war, it’s [the price of gas is] just artificial. It’s [gas is] a little bit high. It’s [higher gas prices are] a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe. They can [Iran has had the ability to] take out a city. Let ’em take out Los Angeles. Let ’em take out San Diego. [is what could’ve happened if we hadn’t intervened in Iran’s nuclear weapon development] This [increased gas cost] is a very small price to pay and it’s gonna be over with very soon. It’s essentially almost over with.” Don’t believe me? Listen to it yourself. Instead of just blindly believing a 30 second clip that only shows him saying “Let ’em take out Los Angeles. Let ’em take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay!” This is the kind of trickery you use on toddlers to get them to brush their teeth and eat their vegetables. No self respecting adult should be falling for this kind of thing. I feel genuinely sorry for these dopes. It makes me sad.
