Anyone got a security contact at @TooLostDistro? I haven’t been able to raise them via their published email address.

New breach: Harvard University was targeted by ShinyHunters last year in a breach that exposed 851k unique email addresses. Data included personal info related to the university's alumni and fundraising systems. 64% were already in @haveibeenpwned. More: haveibeenpwned.com/Breach/Ha…
I've got a real issue with reporting like this, where journos trawl through data breaches then publish a whole bunch of PII "in the public interest". It's a massive privacy violation and that alone should be enough to stop it.
And FWIW, my view on handling breach data in an ethical fashion: troyhunt.com/the-ethics-of-r…

Well, that’s one way of doing it!
eMudhra login to download customer's certs can be cracked
Their 1FA login generates a OTP & sends it. It also sends a RSA public key to front end
They haven't rate limited checks, so you can offline brute force 0 to 9999 encrypted with public key & find the OTP

New sensitive breach: German political party AfD suffered a breach last month that resulted in hundreds of thousands of emails and attachments being published, exposing 345k unique email addresses. 47% were already in @haveibeenpwned. Read more: haveibeenpwned.com/Breach/Af…
The "social media amplification" is because this is, without doubt, one of the dumbest security flaws we've ever seen in this industry. Frankly, the criticism has been pretty proportionate to the potential impact of this, and I find that statement hugely tone deaf.
More of the same from Google:
A brief update on the critical vulnerabilities in PHP:
We have not yet validated exploitation in the wild and we have no evidence of successful wide scale exploitation. There are currently several exploit PoCs publicly circulating, many of which appear to be "vibe-coded" and are incapable of remote code execution. We have validated some PoCs, however, that are capable of RCE against default deployments of mod_php but not PHP-FPM.
Nonetheless, exploitation may have already begun in a limited fashion and the threat is viable and very serious. Defenders should:
1) Patch & Restart by upgrading to PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36, or 8.2.35 and restarting web services
2) Layer Temporary Safeguards at the network edge (WAF/proxy rules) and server configuration level if immediate patching requires a maintenance window
3) Protect Credentials by monitoring for abnormal session traffic and rotating keys and passwords on compromised internet-facing PHP systems exposed prior to patching

This is kinda where I was going with the original question:
We protect over 5 million PHP sites and when we find a major exploitable vulnerability, we always see site cleanings. We have seen exactly zero hacked sites from php2shell. Zero. Across a population of 5 million PHP sites that our product protects. Draw your own conclusions. #php2shell
