That's a wrap on #TyreSafetyMonth 2026! From roadside checks to national media coverage, thank you to everyone who supported our campaign! Let's keep the momentum going with regular tyre checks all year round. #ActBeforeYouREact #ACTonTyres #TyreSafety

Passed the MOT? Great. But that doesn’t make your tyres a once-a-year job. Pressure can change, tread wears and damage can happen at any time. Your MOT is a snapshot of your vehicle on one day. Tyre checks need to happen throughout the year.

TyreSafe has one simple message: Turn a scare into a safety check. Check your tyres before your next journey because illegal or poorly maintained tyres can increase stopping distances. #TyreSafetyMonth #ACTBeforeYouREact

Tyre Safety Month ends today. So, here's one question worth asking: when did you last check your tyres? We've spent October challenging the assumption that being a confident driver means being a prepared one. But when the unexpected happens, confidence alone won't help your tyres deliver the grip and braking performance you need. And with our research revealing that just 11% of drivers checked their tyres after a near-miss, there's clearly more to be done to close the action gap. The good news? Taking preventative action is straightforward. Remember to ACT: 🛞 A – Air Pressure: Check monthly and before long journeys, using your vehicle manufacturer's recommended pressures. 🛞 C – Condition: Look for cuts, cracks, bulges and embedded objects that could compromise safety. 🛞 T – Tread: Make sure your tyres meet the legal minimum of 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread, around the entire tyre. The calendar might say Tyre Safety Month is over. Your tyres still need checking in November, December and every month after that. Make regular tyre checks a habit, not a reaction. #TyreSafetyMonth #ActBeforeYouREact #ACTonTyres #TyreSafety

Bags packed. Route planned. Everyone in the car. Tyres checked? A long journey shouldn’t be the moment you discover a problem. Before setting off, check pressures for the load, inspect for damage and make sure you have sufficient tread. Make tyres part of the preparation.

Near misses can happen to anyone. Preparing for the next journey starts before you turn the key. Check your tyres and make sure they're ready for whatever the road brings. #TyreSafetyMonth #ACTBeforeYouREact

Tyre Safety Month ends tomorrow. But tyre safety doesn't have an expiry date. Throughout October, we've been challenging drivers to think differently about how they respond to unexpected moments on the road. Because while a near-miss might be over in seconds, the lessons should stay with us long afterwards. Our message as the campaign draws to a close? Don't let the awareness end with October. Make checking your Air pressure, Condition and Tread part of your regular routine. It's a simple habit that helps keep your tyres legal, properly maintained and ready to perform when you need them most. The campaign may be ending, but the responsibility to ACT continues all year round. ACT Before You REact. #TyreSafetyMonth #ActBeforeYouREact #ACTonTyres #TyreSafety

It's natural to react after a near miss. What's more important is what you do next. Take a few minutes to check your tyres and make sure they're ready for the road ahead. #TyreSafetyMonth #ACTBeforeYouREact

October mornings are getting colder, and falling temperatures can affect tyre pressure. Don’t wait for a warning light or a tyre that looks low. Check pressures when the tyres are cold, using an accurate gauge and the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended settings.

A near miss is a warning, not just a story to tell later. Use it as a reminder to check your tyres before your next journey.#TyreSafetyMonth #ACTBeforeYouREact

Tyre checks aren’t just about avoiding inconvenience. Driving with illegal tyres can mean a fine of up to £2,500 and three penalty points per tyre. Four tyres means four responsibilities. Check yours regularly and deal with problems before getting back on the road .

Remember your last near-miss? Did it prompt you to check your tyres? As #TyreSafetyMonth draws to a close, we're challenging drivers to turn reaction into prevention. A near-miss lasts seconds. A tyre check takes minutes. #ActBeforeYouREact

Your tyres are the only part of your bike touching the road. If they’re illegal or poorly maintained, your bike could take longer to stop when every metre counts. #TyreSafetyMonth #ACTBeforeYouREact

Your trailer may spend weeks or months parked up, but its tyres are still ageing. Low mileage doesn’t guarantee good condition. Before towing, check for cracking or deterioration, make sure pressures are correct and check the tread. Don’t judge a trailer tyre on mileage alone.

After a near-miss, 23% of drivers shout, gesture or sound their horn, but just 11% check their tyres. A further 22% do nothing and continue driving. Turn a scare into a safety check. ACT before you REact. Read more: tyresafe.org/about-tyresafe/… #TyreSafe #RoadSafety

Your first reaction after a near miss won't change what just happened. Checking your tyres could help prevent what happens next. #TyreSafetyMonth #ACTBeforeYouREact

Missing a tyre valve cap? It might be small, but it has a job to do. The cap helps keep dirt and moisture away from the valve. When checking your tyre pressures, take a second to make sure every valve has its cap securely fitted too.

Helmet on. Gloves on. Ready to ride? Give the bike a few minutes first. Check both tyres for anything picked up on the last journey, look for damage and make sure pressures are correct. A simple pre-ride look can spot something that needs attention before you set off.

You’re riding home. Traffic is flowing and everything feels fine. Then the vehicle in front brakes suddenly. That isn’t the moment to wonder whether your tyres are ready. Poor tyres can increase stopping distances. #TyreSafetyMonth #ACTBeforeYouREact
