Smart in his opening statement: "A lot of respect for this team because [Jon] Sumrall's done a great job with a lot of energy into the program, a lot of physicality in the program."

Smart on Buster Faulkner: "A lot of respect for Buster. Obviously, was on our staff, and just think he's one of the best offensive minds in the country. And it's really hard to defend, but I'm so happy for his success and how well he's done. Close friend and a lot of respect."

Smart on Jordan Hall's energy: [The] one thing he is is consistently energetic and plays really hard. He does not want to be seen as a loafer or someone that doesn't play with high effort, and that carries over to the other guys, so I don't think that had anything to do with the injuries because he was the same way before he got injured."

Kirby Smart on the status of KJ Bolden and Isiah Canion: "Yeah, I really don't know on either one because we haven't done anything since Thursday."

Smart on Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones: "One beat, you know, beat Ole Miss handily, and one beat Texas on the road. I mean, they're both completely capable, good players."

Smart on Jadan Baugh and Florida's run game: "Yeah, they got a great run scheme and they got a great back to do it with. So when you can run the ball and know that your back's going to make people miss in the open field or break tackles by running through them, over them, around them, it certainly gives you the confidence to give him touches, and he's been incredible."

Smart on players from the Athens area on Florida's roster: "I mean we've got guys playing all over our team from those same teams they were on tomorrow and even from Clark Central."
