This week, we were on the ground in Nagoya, Japan, implementing our Major Event Anti-Doping Legacy (MEAL) Program during the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games. 🌏
Through the MEAL Program, WADA helps MEOs to implement a World Anti-Doping Code-compliant anti-doping program at their sporting events, while enhancing local and regional anti-doping program development through a tailored approach and a long-term vision.
As part of WADA’s presence at the Games, our teams met with the Asian Paralympic Committee @asianparalympic, the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and Asian Para Games Organizing Committee and the Japan Anti-Doping Agency to support coordinated efforts to ensure a robust and effective anti-doping program throughout the Games.

Very pleased to meet H.E. President William Ruto during my visit to Kenya. Kenya is rightly proud to be the Home of Champions — and protecting that legacy means ensuring it is also a home of clean sport. We had a constructive discussion on the need for a strong culture of clean sport and a determined approach to preventing and fighting doping. The commitment is clear, and it now needs to be matched by sustained action. Thank you, Mr President, for the warm welcome and valuable exchange @wada_ama @ADAKKENYA .
