The Chateau de Moulbaix (also known as Moulbaix Castle), located in the village of Moulbaix within the municipality of Ath, Belgium. It is built in a distinctive Neo-Tudor style. It was designed by the architect Désiré Limbourg and constructed around 1860 on the site of a former medieval fortress. The castle is famous for its heavily turreted design, featuring a large number of fortified-looking towers and crenellations that give it a fairy-tale or fantasy-like appearance. The castle belonged to the Marquis du Chasteler family and was later inhabited by the Count d’Ursel family. Following the death of the count and countess in the mid-2000s, the estate fell into a lengthy inheritance dispute among their children. Left fully furnished but empty, it became a legendary location for urban explorers ("urbex") and photographers as it slowly deteriorated.
