The participants are working through a participatory Look–Think–Act–Review approach: translating competency assessments into practical capacity development goals, co-designing training plans, and identifying how to track changes in management practice—not just attendance.

The workshop draws on a draft planning guide and a compendium of 51 training resources, developed by WIOMSA for IUCN under the ReSea Programme. Through hands-on group work, practitioners will apply the approach to their own sites and prepare to support others.
