Gut-wrenching. 💔 A 16-year-old boy on an e-scooter was hit and killed by a Tesla around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Route 28 (Union Avenue) and Adamsville Road in Bridgewater. Cops say the driver was turning left when she hit him. Officers did CPR, but he died at RWJ in Somerville. No charges so far 😢

Finally, some common sense. 🙌 A new Senate bill, S4838 from Sen. Latham Tiver (Atlantic/Burlington), says nobody gets registered for NJ state or local elections until the county confirms they're a citizen, using MVC and federal DHS records. Why isn't this a thing already?
Counties would also audit the rolls twice a year, by April 1 & Sept. 1, and anyone flagged gets 30 days to prove it

How cool is this? A Morris Canal boat in Boonton around 1900, sitting in its cradle at the foot of an inclined plane, about to ride the rails right up the hill. 😡 A judge on Oct. 26 ordered illegal Lucio Lopez-Perez, 36, of Erma, released before trial. He's charged with DWI and assault by auto after Middle Township Officer Austin Kapurelos, 26 and just married, was hit during a traffic stop on Route 47 on Oct. 16

The 119-year-old park (opened 1907) announced it made the “difficult decision” to shut down after five seasons under current ownership and put the property up for sale. Last operating day was Sept. 7. Owners say they hope a buyer will keep the legacy going
