It is with a very heavy heart that we bring you the sad news that The Exchange Theatre charity, theatre and café bar will be closing on Monday 17 April 2023.

The Exchange Theatre charity closed its doors on 17th April 2023. It will no longer operate from Saville Exchange in North Shields.
To our audiences, performers, artists, patrons and friends, thank you for all your support.

As you know, The Exchange Theatre Charity is closing its doors on 17th April 2023.
To celebrate all that we've achieved, only made possible with your support, we are throwing a final farewell on Saturday 15th April from 3pm till late – and we’d love you to be involved! (1/7)

We would like to thank everyone, once again, for the support we’ve received during the last couple of weeks. 1/6
We remain deeply keen to see local artists, creatives and community groups flourish and have facilitated all existing bookings to get in touch with Stonebanks Investments, who we understand are aiming to accommodate existing groups and activities. 5/6
In addition, we understand that most current staff are expected to be offered roles with the new operators. We have a remarkable team of staff here and long to see each person flourish each in their own life and creative journey. 6/6
