Video provided to me, Indigenous Insider, by a source who requested anonymity. This is the Second Sons, white nationalist group in Kamloops, BC earlier today where they gathered near the former Kamloops Indian residential school at Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc Nation. This comes three days before Canada’s National Day of Truth & Reconciliation.

Masked white nationalists gathered on Tkʼemlúps te Secwépemc land and mocked families seeking answers about children who never came home. We will not debate survivors’ testimony with those who ridicule it. We stand with the Nation and call for a full investigation. Our statement:

The Kentner family and several regional First Nations leaders have planned a press conference and march on Parliament Hill on Monday, Aug. 31. They want accountability after Brayden Bushby was granted full parole in the killing. aptnnews.ca?p=293640
The decision to grant full parole to Brayden Bushby has sparked outrage within the Indigenous community, but little with mainstream Canada.
Niigaan Sinclair says it would be different if Bushby’s victim was non-Indigenous.

26% women & girls killed had previously contacted Police about violence–an average of 3 times.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Femicide is preventable. Systems can intervene early.
When will women matter enough?
