ALT Colour photograph of a dark brown wood-plank table, dressed with a rustic branch of wood and a scroll of coarse linen, unrolled. On the left sits a china cup. It does'n't have a handle. It is white ceramic and decorated with an orange patterned glaze. Inside the cup is a yellow liquid - it might be green, chamomile, lemon or ginger tea? Next to the cup, sat on a white saucer is an earthenware teapot. It is the same size as the cup and it has a rough texture and burnt red / rust orange colour.

ALT Colour photograph of an Ancient Egyptian stone structure. We look up at a bright blue sky with thick and fluffy white clouds. The image is then interrupted with 12 sandy collumns all decorated with carved hieroglyphics. Rectangular walls can be seen behind the pillars. The pictures and symbols on the carvings include birds, reeds, people and geometric patterns. They are still clear to see today.

ALT Colour photograph of five empty glass display cases, sitting in a room within the library. They are varying heights and the glass display space sits on top of black metal legs/bases. The cases are empty for now and in the post, visitors are invited to suggest objects and artworks that they would like to see out on display. In the background of the image we see computers lining a wall, bookshelves in the next open-plan room and two open windows.

ALT Colour painting of a Welsh Cottage set against the backdrop of a North Welsh mountain. Beneath a rich blue sky, just turning pink at twilight, sits a brown/green grassy mountain interspersed with irregular craggy formations. At the foot of the rock is a stone cottage, one storey in height, with smoke billowing from the chimney. An exterioir patch of land has been enclosed with a dry stone wall. To the right and off in the distance is another home with a bright red roof.

ALT Colour painting of a Peak District road surrounded by grassy hills and a white limestone outcrop with a couple of caves within it. Lining the road are a number of drystone walls - also limestone. Houses and shops make up the stone buildings that have sprung up along the road and rock formation. In the bottom right corner of the painting we see the namesake for this piece, "Joseph Noel's Shop" written in bold green paint. The sky above is baby blue and candyfloss pink, suggesting twilight.

ALT Colour photograph of three members from the museum team, packing up a painting for transit and storage. In the background, a pine wood crate has already been packed and it is standing and waiting for transport. In the foreground one team member wearing all-black uses a screwdriver to secure a section of the packing crate. To the left, a team member in pink adjusts a corner of the golden gilt frame of the painting, whilst a team member wearing a turquoise hat helps steady the landscape piece.

ALT Black and white photograph of Church Street, Ashbourne. This wide road is practically empty, with only a couple of cyclists captured in this photograph. They are cycling away from town and are smartly dressed. In the distance a bus can be seen travelling towards the town centre. It seems to be a sunny spring day and the limestone exterior of the Elizabethan grammar school on the left of the photograph is illuminated. The leaded glass windows can be clearly seen, as can the gabled roofs.

ALT Colour photograph used on a postcard depicting Broad Walk, Spring Gardens in Buxton. On the left of the image are leafy green trees kept back from the wide light stone path by a shoulder height black painted metal fence. Lining the path on the right are a number of limestone houses with multiple chimneys each and gabled windows. A green, grassy verge rises up in the foreground and the two prominent houses seen are Milton and Holly Road. About 6 people are out walking, one in a mobility carriage.

ALT Black and white photograph, portrait, of the Sun Lounge at The Palace Hotel. A long, narrow gallery stretches out before us. The left wall is made of glass panels inserted into a metal frame which curves up towards a glass roof. A palm tree sits along the wall and other trees sit in the distance. Wicker furniture lines the walls, some are rocking chairs, and small tables are scattered around. A long patterned carpet runs the length of the room. A gentle sun illuminates the space.

ALT Colour photograph of an old airplane from the early 20th century. It has two parallel wings near the cockpit and propellor and it's two black wheels remain out. It is blue and orange in colour and it soars above a dark blue mountain range lit with the colours of the rising sun. Pale yellows, oranges, reds and pinks begin to illuminate the mountain range and these colours cathc in the smoke trail left by the plane.

ALT Colour photograph of the painting. On a grey/white canvas are three, thick lines of green - made up from various shades of green. They run from the top of the canvas and down, stopping at three different points on the page. This creates the illusion of distance, with some lines closer to or further away from us. On the left are three bold rocks, irregular in shape. Their dark slate blue/grey colour contrasts with the greens and light blue highlights. Another single stone stands on the right.

ALT Colour photograph of Stepping Stones across the River Hamps in the village of Waterhouses. In the distance we see a large stone house framed by tall trees, some still bare as they await the growth of leaves. A path runs from the house and down a slope to the river. Roughly hewn stones sit in an irregular line across the water. The river is quite low in this photograph, but has not entirely disappeared underground.

ALT Black and white etching on a greyed/yellowed sheet of old paper. A few dark brown spots at the top of the paper attest to its age, but the rest of the image can be seen clearly. In the background is a craggy limestone rockface interspersed with leafy trees and rocky formations. In the foreground is a wide and flowing river dove. A tree or large branch has fallen in to the side of the river nearest to the three anglers on the right. We see them in different poses, fixing bait to their lines.

ALT Black and white photo taken in winter. In the background, a cluster of leafless trees can be seen behind a drystone wall topped with triangular slabs. The wall runs alongside a pavement which sits adjacent to the wide road that the van sits upon. Dated to the 1930s, the tyres on the van are a lot slimmer than those used today. A material roof sits upon a long metal body that has been branded with advertising for "Wine Merchants | J.L. Denman & Co. Ltd. | Beer Bottlers | 8 Spring Gardens Buxton".

ALT Colour painting of a field with five white sheep in it. We stand at the bottom of a small slope, at one end of a duck pond. Dark green reeds swaying in the breeze are scattered around the perimeter of the pond, and we see one duck in the foreground. It's tail is in the air as it leans towards the water. To the left of the pond a wooden fence runs across and off the canvas. It is roughly hewn and pens the sheep in half of the grassy field. They graze at the top of the slope under a rainy sky.

ALT Colour photograph. Sat on a red textile background is an off-white cockle shell shaped like a Valentine's Day heart. One half of the shell has been photographed - the top section - and the surface is ridged with concentric lines following the heart-shaped pattern of the shell. The edge of the shell is wiggly and scalloped and the centre of the shell is raised up to make room for the creature that once lived inside it.
