I have the same cancer as Sir Chris Hoy. But mine is small and localised, and easily curable if/when it grows. No treatment, just a watching brief for now. I had zero symptoms, but my GP suggested (🙏)a test bc of my age - and as 1 in 8 men will get it. prostatecanceruk.org/risk-ch…

Another week, another leaving do. This time for my excellent ex-boss Martin Farrington, who had a hand in building most of modern Leeds. (Pictured here telling an amusing anecdote about a dead horse in Meanwood Park).
Very pleased to be able to attend @tomriordan 's leaving do this afternoon. A thoroughly decent human being who I was proud to work with.

Gareth Southgate’s greatest achievement was not on the pitch, but in the standard that he has set for how a role-model and representative of our country should conduct themselves.
In a job which has subjected him to a degree of national scrutiny and criticism that most people will never appreciate, he has been a real mensch, remaining dignified, respectful and considerate throughout.
His legacy will be a generation of young people who have learned from him that leadership is primarily about decency, integrity and bringing honour to others. That is worth more to our country than any trophy. The crown of a good name supersedes all. Thank you, Gareth.

We have managed to fund another permanent exhibition of the Meanwood Valley Bioblitz and place it @MeanwoodFarm. Its opposite the goats! Lovely to have this up in two places now for it to be enjoyed. Thanks to the farm for hosting it.
