What does it take to make EV ownership possible for everyone?
For many residents, the answer isn't the vehicle. It's access to charging.
That's why we're proud to be working with Oxfordshire County Council to expand public EV charging infrastructure across the county and help make the transition to electric vehicles accessible to more people.
Recently, at Go Electric Oxford, we spoke with Jenny Figueiredo from Oxfordshire County Council about the work underway to support residents without access to off-street parking and the role public charging will play in Oxfordshire's EV future.
As the transition to electric vehicles continues, collaboration between local authorities, communities and charge point operators will be critical to ensuring the benefits are shared by everyone.
🎥 Hear Jenny's perspective in the video below.

📺 RuPaul. The Rapture. Connected Kerb chargers.
One of those things might have been an unexpected guest on The One Show last night.
It was fantastic to see Abergavenny's electric car club and Connected Kerb charging infrastructure featured on national television, highlighting how communities are embracing cleaner, more accessible transport. By combining shared electric vehicles with convenient public charging, more people can enjoy the benefits of going electric, whether or not they have a driveway.
The future of mobility isn't just electric. It's shared, connected and designed around people.

We're proud to be expanding our partnership with Bedford Borough Council, helping bring more convenient EV charging to communities across the borough. Through the Government's LEVI programme, we'll deliver 900+ additional charging sockets, making it easier for more residents to make the switch to electric with confidence.
Chris Pateman-Jones, CEO of Connected Kerb, said:
"The future of transport isn't arriving at some point down the road, it's already here. The challenge now is making sure the infrastructure keeps pace. That's exactly what this partnership with Bedford Borough Council is doing. By expanding access to EV charging across the borough, we're helping more residents make the switch to electric with confidence. Bedford is showing real ambition in preparing for the next generation of transport, and we're proud to be part of that journey."

We recently welcomed representatives from the Department for Transport, West Berkshire Council and our delivery partner Circet to one of the EV charging sites currently under construction in West Berkshire.
In the video, James Douglas shares how funding, planning and delivery are coming together to build charging infrastructure at scale. We also heard from Cllr Gourley and the Circet team on the importance of collaboration in making projects like this happen.
A big thank you to Lenka Daviesova for coordinating the visit and making everything happen on the day, and to Circet for doing a fantastic job preparing the site.
This is just one part of a wider programme that will see around 190 sites and close to 1,000 charge points delivered across West Berkshire over the next four years.

Watts Up With Site Adoption ⚡
Not every charger out there was built by us.
And not every charger out there is working the way it should.
In our latest Watts Up With, we meet Tom Ponsford and the team taking on chargers installed by other networks and bringing them back into use. From site surveys and integration testing to fixing, upgrading or replacing them entirely, this is where underperforming infrastructure gets a second life.
Because it’s not just about building new charge points.
It’s about making sure the ones already out there actually work.
As Tom puts it:
“No charger we adopt gets left behind. If it’s not working, we fix it or replace it.”

The EV transition isn’t just about the environment; it is a massive engine for UK economic growth. A landmark new report commissioned by ChargeUK and produced by LCP Delta reveals the staggering scale of our industry’s impact over the next decade.
By 2035, EV charging will contribute £15.5 bn direct economic value and support over 360,000 green jobs. As a member of ChargeUK, Connected Kerb is proud to be on the ground turning these forecasts into reality.
Every on-street, workplace, and residential charger we deploy is an investment in local economies and the UK's net-zero future. But to unlock this £30 billion investment prize, we need policy certainty. A stable ZEV mandate is critical to keeping momentum high.
