This #BlackHistoryMonth, we'd like to shine a spotlight on Peter Foley MBE - the first Black player to play for @WorkingtonAFC (Workington Reds).
Peter made his Workington debut on 13 February 1965 against Reading and went on to play 80 games between February 1965 and May 1967.
He was subsequently also the first Black player for Scunthorpe United and Chesterfield.
In 2003, Peter was awarded an MBE for his work combating racism, including through the campaign that became @kickitout.
