Bombing and shooting is not the only way to commit a genocide. This is genocide too.
Warehouses filled with vital aid for Gaza have been blocked by Israel, despite the ceasefire mandating the passage of humanitarian aid. The UNRWA has criticised Israel as Palestinians face heavy rain and cold weather amid the rubble 🔗Read more: trib.al/OlxacQl

The genocide has just gone quieter, slower, more insidious. It has not stopped. Nor should we stop opposing it!
Channel 4 News is inside one of many warehouses filled with tonnes of aid that the Israeli authorities are not letting through to Gaza. It's estimated that there is enough aid for 150 trucks per day, five days per week for three months to help Palestinians. We have reached out to the Israeli government for a response.

I wish I could be shouting this news from the rooftops. Instead, from the boring but cozy confines of my sickness bed, I am so freaking thrilled to share that my work of four years, my next book of poems, FIFTY MOTHERS will be published by @riverriverbooks in February 26!

This is not just news, this is LITERALLY HAPPENING.. My friend in Gaza City says she cannot find anything to feed her infant, she says a large portion of her day is wasted just thinking how she can be creative to find alternatives to keep her baby alive, dear world!!!
🆘REMINDER: While goods are allowed into southern #Gaza under severe Israeli restrictions, the northern parts of Gaza are facing yet another starvation catastrophe as Israel continues to ban aid into the city & its north. There isn't much time left until we lose more infants!

The problem with @PENamerica is that they CAN express full solidarity & HAVE. They’ve done it before, condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with their whole chest. Palestine is just the blaring exception. You can’t pretend now to be an org above politics. You just can’t!
Today, we released an open letter with over 135 writers, artists, and human rights defenders to express our collective condemnation of Russia’s full-scale invasion of #Ukraine, a campaign of violence rooted in the erasure of Ukrainian culture. Read here: pen.org/open-letter-in-solid…

“what struck me most about those who are protesting is how long they waited. the restraint they showed. not the spontaneity, the restraint. they waited and waited for justice. and it didn’t come. no one talks about that...” - Toni Morrison
