@EconTalker the @Econlib pod w David Wolpe…as a man of a certain age, this hit home. Incredibly thoughtful to put ourselves in Ilyich’s shoes The bit about having people who elevate our best selves: seek those who desire us to be lovely Thank you

@EconTalker The episode with David Wolpe on The Death of Ivan Ilyich was great. Easily one of my favorite EconTalk episodes of the year, if not of all time.

A beautiful episode from @EconTalker One that will make you stop for a moment and ponder… Such an insightful conversation between Russ and Rabbi Wolpe What if you did everything “right” by conventional standards and still discovered, on your deathbed, that you had wasted your life? Your life can be internally coherent, externally rewarded, and still be a form of prolonged non-existence… hollow and surrounded by superficial and empty people, including yourself.
What if you did everything right, only to discover at the end that you lived the wrong life? @RabbiWolpe joins Hoover Visiting Fellow @EconTalker to explore Tolstoy's The Death of Ivan Ilyich and how to live without regret. I like the book better. But it’s nice to hear the tune.
Radetzky March, Op. 228 by Johann Strauss I, performed by the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of Daniel Barenboim at the 2014 Vienna New Year's Concert. What's fascinating is that the audience's clapping isn't just applause. When timed with the music, it becomes an extra layer of rhythm alongside the orchestra. The audience doesn't just listen to the music. They become part of the performance itself.

Sottotitoli decenti (Barrow -> Barro; 2014 -> 2040). Jesus spettacolare come sempre per chiarezza e lucidità. open.spotify.com/episode/6kB…

Finally got around to listening to the Fertility Podcast with @EconTalker and @JesusFerna7026 . It’s a tour de force and one of the most intellectually stimulating things I have listened to recently. Until the very end about religiosity and non-market correction mechanisms.
