My favorite story that I've written in 3 decades of journalism. Coach Patty Gasso allowed me to do an in-depth interview: *How she met her husband Jim Gasso *Her mom's fight vs Alzheimer's *Her $1.6 million salary *How does she relax? *How long will she coach? #Sooners

Comparing last year's #OkState offense to this year's team: OSU had 14 offensive touchdowns through nine games last season. On Saturday alone against K-State, the Cowboys had nine offensive touchdowns.

Craziest stat that describes #OkState's productivity on offense against K-State. The Cowboys scored 9 touchdowns and only faced 8 third-down situations in the game. K-State coach Collin Klein on Drew Mestemaker: "That's as good a quarterback as I've played against."

Caleb Hawkins is #OkState's first 1,000-yard rusher since Ollie Gordon accomplished the feat in 2023. The sophomore from Shawnee now has 1,081 rushing yards this season. He had 1,434 at North Texas last season.

Eric Morris on #OkState response after ISU loss: "That'll be locked in our memory box for a long time ... as you're building a program, you’re creating scars ... you're so emotionally invested in what we're doing right now. Sometimes scars end up being a good thing for you"

Eric Morris on Caleb Hawkins: "This place is known for great running backs ... you think about Thurman (Thomas) and Barry (Sanders) and just for years there's been running backs. "I think he's gonna fit right in line with those guys." #OkState

Eric Morris has a piggy bank in his office and said LaDainian Fields gets something out of it each time he makes an INT. What's in the piggy bank, the #OkState coach was asked. "No comment," Morris said with a smile. Fields leads the nation with 7 INTs.

Eric Morris on LaDainian Fields' streak of INTs: "It's been phenomenal so hats off to him. You could tell he was emotionally charged before this game. He talked about it all week...I’m just super proud of him with the growth. He loves to compete. I’m super proud of him" #OkState

#OkState becomes bowl eligible for 1st time in 3 years. Eric Morris: "I've never talked about it with this group until today after the game and we didn't celebrate it. It was something that I think happens naturally, & these kids were trying to fight & claw & build a program."

Eric Morris on what stood out the most in #OkState's 66-28 win at K-State: "Defense, no doubt about it. Hats off to our staff. They did a phenomenal job putting together a great game plan coming into it, just knowing you don't have Jaleel Johnson and don't have Tate (Romney)."
