We created this zine to initially honor Elias Clayton, Elmer Jackson, and Isaac McGhie. We shifted gears as we mourned the violence upon Black lives. Our zine visions a new world and is available to download at blackbirdrevolt.com/apres
“The most disrespected woman in America, is the black woman. The most unprotected woman in America, is the black woman. The most neglected woman in America is the black woman.” -Malcolm X
All too often Black Womxn, and Black people that identify within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum are left out of the conversation and often silenced and erased. There would be no #BlackLivesMatter movement without these voices.
“Even in our silence we’re still seen as a threat and your silence upholds the systems that threaten.” – @BlackbirdRevolt

We recommend that any Minnesotan who has attended a protest, vigil, or community clean-up get tested for #COVID19. If you start to feel sick, get tested right away. If you do not feel sick, get tested as soon as you can, but no later than 5-7 days after the event. (1/2)

First Avenue believes in radical inclusivity; every person needs to be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism. We’re proud to support an organization providing access to healthcare for all.
All profits today benefit Planned Parenthood (@PPFA) 🖤
This year we're scaling things down while we're getting ready to amp things up! We're looking for people to join our team and bring fresh eyes, perspective, energy, and talent. Come learn about joining the festival as part of the planning team or as an event volunteer.
All the while celebrating with us the voices of some badass womxn and non-binary folx:
