Today was kickoff day for 417 Reads! I enjoyed spending some time at McBride Elementary reading to third graders about dinosaurs (and promptly being corrected on the proper pronunciation of said dinosaurs).

It is an incredible thing to live in a country where we have the right to vote and to have a say in what our city, state and country look like.

Springfield families can’t afford to give politicians unchecked power to raise taxes on ANY good and ANY service through Amendments 4 & 5. I’ll be voting no.

We had a really great week knocking doors with new faces and familiar ones, opening up our campaign headquarters, celebrating 250 years of the USA 🇺🇸, and catching what appears to be the smallest fish to ever be caught.

“… the proposal "gives unchecked power" for state lawmakers to raise taxes on goods and services across the state.
"It will be a significant cost of living increase to most people," said @Fogle4MO. "And those people are already struggling to pay their bills."
