We love community and chatting with like minded people about the things that matter: nature and our landscape, how books offer so much and the joy of being part of something positive. 🧵
However, we want to do that in a place that shares our values, a place of equality, inclusion, fairness and one that values our differences. 🧵
We were delighted to be there. Booksellers are such a positive indicator of a thriving high street 😁

Looks a bit like our bookshelves at FOLDE with that focus on nature writing and traditional skills!
#StartTheWeek on @BBCRadio4 at 9, we have a shepherd, a thatcher and a bullock. @herdyshepherd1’s new masterpiece, his time learning the ways of the Eider 🦆in 🇳🇴, Alice V Robinson on the provenance of leather, and a Master Thatcher.
Today I had the joy of representing bookselling alongside Laura @booksaremybag and Debbie @kibworthbooks at a parliamentary reception organised by the @the_brc at Portcullis House. We spoke to MPs about the retail issues of the moment.

We’re delighted to be finishing #bookshopday with an event with @RubyFree8 as she talks about her book Rathlin, A Wild Life
Hearing new and diverse voices in nature writing is so important, and we suspect you’ll be hearing more from Ruby 😉

You’re so kind! Also, we’ve got to say, we’ve got some serious jumper envy from your recent trip!
Happy #BookshopDay 😀 Here is one of my favourites nestled in the countryside of Dorset 💚📚
This is absolutely what bookshops excel at. Taking readers on a journey through titles they might not have thought of. 😁 #bookshopday
“The art of the bookseller is almost like a DJ where, if you tell them your general reading habits, then they’ll come out with something you are almost categorically going to enjoy – even if it’s left field from your normal habits.”

Bookshops are amazing.
This morning we’ve had visits from regular customers & new - all excited to see what’s been released recently.
We’ve greeted young & old, had jolly chats, given out dog treats and recommendations for coffee.
