“We just need transparency from the board” is quite a “but.” The Governor’s appointed board met in secret on a Saturday and made the STL Chief the third highest paid in the country forcing the city to pay for it AND the fire chief too with no input at all. Calling for local control isn’t “defunding” the police or jihad. It’s actually a conservative value but when they’re desperate they ignore their principles. Matt is a fantastic candidate and will make a terrific rep vs. the man who pushed through this mess.

TL:DR Vote Yes on 6. They want to keep ignoring what we pass through our vote. No more.
Missouri’s Amendment 6 is presented as protecting voters’ rights, but its most concerning provision is the 80% requirement.
Currently, Missouri lawmakers can amend laws passed through citizen initiatives using the regular legislative process.
Amendment 6 would require 80% approval in BOTH legislative chambers just to send proposed changes back to voters.
That means just seven state senators could block the process. Missouri currently has 10 Democrat senators.
Why does this matter? Out-of-state special interest groups can finance Missouri ballot initiatives, and Amendment 6 would make it significantly harder for our elected representatives to correct problematic laws.
Meanwhile, several proposed protections already exist, including the right to propose initiatives and judicial review of ballot language.
Should Missouri make voter-approved laws this difficult to correct?
We must protect Missouri from this socialist attack.

This is basically an admission that the state takeover of St. Louis police was a failure, and, that it was all about politics.
Today, I requested @AGCHanaway to initiate a thorough investigation into the St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners' recent decision to fast-track Chief Tracy's contract extension during a closed door, non-transparent process.
As a proud born-and-raised St. Louisan who was brought up in the police family, I care deeply about the rank-and-file officers and civilian employees of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. These men and women, along with the citizens of St. Louis and the State of Missouri, deserve clear answers and full transparency and accountability regarding governance and decisions of the Board.

Why is Ann so afraid to face her own constituents? It’s a simple question. Why does she avoid them even as she attacks me desperately? I’m not the one you should worry about, Ann. You answer to 759,000 angry Missourians.
Seven terms in Congress, and Ann Wagner has no answers for the costs, corruption, and chaos coming out of Washington. No record to stand on, no solutions to offer. That's why she won't debate Fred Wellman.
