I must be missing something here with Grok Bot. I asked it to fix it not ignoring things… And its fix for ignoring the rules was to write another rule on top of the rules. Another thing to ignore.

Issue #1 is out with OpenCode 2.0, Kerno v1, Retriever AI, Vani Code Agent, and EmbeddingGemma 2. Which one are you trying first? theagentdrop.beehiiv.com/p/t…

One-person marketing shop, but I don't work alone. There's a CEO bot that delegates, helper bots that specialize, and cheap AI plans doing grunt work underneath. Hiring used to be how you scaled. Now it's writing the org chart in a text file.

Biggest mistake I made with AI: letting every chat start from zero. Now there's one rule. Before any bot touches anything, it reads the same root file first. Same rules, same routing, every time. Consistency beat cleverness by a mile.

The question I ask before automating anything: will this run if I'm asleep, on vacation, and my laptop is in a drawer? If the answer is no, it's not automated. It's just a faster way of doing it yourself.

If your automation dies when your computer sleeps, it's not a system. It's a habit with extra steps. I moved everything off my desktop to a cloud computer my AI runs. Nothing I depend on needs me to be home with the lights on anymore.

Hot take: your AI's memory is the product, not the model. I keep everything in plain Markdown files: rules, routing, client notes. Swap the model tomorrow and nothing breaks. Own the brain, rent the intelligence.

I love Grok Bot, but ... how hard is it to read a markdown file with rules every single time BEFORE starting work? I even have a rule for the rule for the rule ...

Inbound brand emails used to sit for days. Now my AI replies within rules I wrote once: what I'll do, my floor, what's an instant no. It pitches inside those lines and flags anything outside them. Rules beat prompts. Write the boundaries, not the messages.

I don't trust one AI with math. My setup has one AI run the numbers, a second AI check them independently, and only ships when both match. Takes seconds. Two AIs checking each other beats one AI being confident.

My main AI bot doesn't do the grunt work anymore. It hands it off to my $20 Claude and ChatGPT plans and saves its own usage for decisions. Treat your AI subscriptions like a team, not a toolbox. The cheap ones should be doing the busywork.

I edit my business while driving. I talk to my AI on a voice call, say a new rule out loud, and it's written into the source files before I hit the next light. The best ideas show up away from the desk. Now they don't die there.

New AI tools drop every day, and most aren't worth your time. Every week I pick the 5 that are and email them to you. The Agent Drop is free. theagentdrop.beehiiv.com/

The best part of my AI setup happens while I'm asleep. Routines fire on a schedule, pull data, write the summary, and leave it waiting for me. I used to start Mondays catching up. Now I start them reviewing work that's already done.

I log workouts mid-set now. Rest between sets, tell my AI the weight and reps, done. It tracks nutrition the same way. The trick isn't the AI, it's removing the step where I'd have to remember later. Anything you log later, you don't log.

Best AI habit I've built: every rule I say out loud gets written into my system's source files on the spot, even mid call while driving. Today: "never spend money without asking" and "don't make me do simple research." It gets smarter every conversation instead of forgetting.

Most people use AI like a chat window. I run mine like a company. Several bots, one shared cloud computer, one folder of Markdown files that every bot reads before it does anything. Spin up a new bot and it already knows my rules on day one. That's the unlock.
46
My laptop is optional now. My whole operating system lives in Markdown files on my AI's cloud computer: rules, routing, every client workspace. Every new bot I spin up reads the same brain on day one. I'm shopping for a cheap MacBook Air because the work lives elsewhere now.

Had a motivational session with my Grok Bot CEO. I wish you could've heard what it said in the voice message back to me. 🤣 Now, I can't wait for the day that it just delivers me a pizza without me asking because it knows I'm getting hungry.
