Honestly? I’m at a point where the CS scene feels completely demotivating. FACEIT still sells the illusion of a secure platform, but it’s marketing, not reality. It’s a subscription funnel dressed up as competitive integrity. That won’t change until every security layer is enforced… a year from now, maybe. They rolled out the new badge system. Not to highlight users who enable TPM, Secure Boot, IOMMU, or other hardware security layers, something I directly suggested to them, multiple times, to encourage a safer platform. Instead, they reward you with shiny new badges… for paying Premium. The more you pay, the fancier the badge. Nothing for boosting security. Nothing for making the game harder to cheat in. Just a system that says: “Thanks for the money.” They had the chance to encourage better standards. They chose monetization instead, again. Priorities. And then there’s Valve. VACnet updates are nonexistent. VACnet isn’t even worth tracking anymore not because it’s good, but because nothing’s happening. Premier is more of a safe haven for cheaters than ever. Legit players get flagged. Closeters stay untouched for years. The ones rage cheating might get thrown into red trust, the rest just keep farming wins in GTF. Valve is not banning cheaters anymore. They’re preserving their “playerbase” (cheaters and farming bots). Meanwhile, ESIC (the organization meant to safeguard pro/semi-pro scene integrity — just added Stake “as official anti-corruption partner”… You couldn’t script it better. 2025 has been a terrible year for CS as a competitive game. No real progress, no accountability, just the same closed circuit bubble at the top, and the same gambling simulator on the surface. That’s what we’re left with.
