Sharing more findings from our recent publication in Academic Radiology on radiology residency selection in the era of program signals.
Two key themes stood out:
• Final ranking: 91.8% identified overall interview impression among the most significant factors shaping the final rank list.
• Preference signals: 87.1% rated Gold/Silver signals as highly considered or essential for interview selection.
Together, these findings highlight an important distinction: signals help shape who gets the interview, while interview performance plays a major role in where applicants ultimately rank.
