According to the book, Kushner got Tillerson fired for a $50 million UAE payment because Tillerson supported Qatar. This panicked Qatar because they realized Kushner was a pay-to-play operative, so they bought Kushner's New York City apartments, which were in the red, hoping this would help.
This book is really damning for Kushner. It claims the UAE paid Kushner $50 million to get Rex Tillerson fired as Secretary of State.

I’ve revived my Apple II Agent project from January: An Apple IIe with an Ethernet card and a custom client It links to Claude through a Mac proxy and allows conversational Apple II software creation similar to Claude Code When it’s done, it loads the new program into memory

Amazon Zoox robotaxi, a Google Waymo car, and a Tesla Cybercab became trapped in a viral face-to-face standoff on a narrow city street in 🇺🇸Austin, Texas, showcasing a classic real-world artificial intelligence deadlock. The vehicles met head-on on a narrow side street constricted by cars parked on both sides. Because each company programs its vehicles with proprietary decision-making algorithms, the vehicles struggled to establish right-of-way protocol without a human driver to initiate a courtesy gesture or negotiate positioning. Eyewitnesses noted that the Waymo continued to creep aggressively forward instead of yielding. Meanwhile, the Tesla Cybercab - which runs entirely unsupervised on vision-based software without a steering wheel or pedals - was seen reversing to clear space for the others. Observers also pointed out that Zoox’s unique bidirectional carriage design makes native reversing straightforward, though both it and the Waymo remained locked in position for several minutes before traffic could clear. This event highlights a prominent operational barrier for autonomous fleets: multi-platform coordination. While current robotaxis excel at perception and safety when interacting with fixed obstacles or rule-following humans, they struggle when they encounter another AI entity governed by a completely different set of non-standardized routing protocols. Similar standoffs between Zoox and Waymo vehicles have previously been documented in San Francisco, indicating that “algorithm clashes” are becoming a frequent consequence of multi-fleet urban deployments. Can the robotaxi companies program “courtesy gestures” as part of their algorithms?

"in 2022, Caroline Ellison (who ran Alameda Research) and Nishad Singh (FTX’s director of engineering) personally put about $50M into Anthropic’s Series B: roughly $10M from Ellison and $40M from Singh." The nine accredited investors have a $140 entry price. These shares are now worth $2.6-$5B today
resetting my dopamine levels by reading Anthropic's entire S1 without putting it into Claude

Reminder: this is the only version recognized by the Heinlein estate as a good adaptation.
38 years ago today, ‘Starship Troopers’ released on OVA.

he was, among many achievements, an incredible poster. may his memory be a blessing.
Bill Shatner is not a friend but his work on Boston Legal cannot be disputed. He brought a great deal to his performance.

This is playing with fire. Minks and ferrets have such humanlike lung cells that they’re the standard for testing human flu transmission. (Cows aren’t!) An H5N1 epidemic raging in a mink farm is basically the plot for Dr. Evil tries to spark a pandemic. Luck isn’t a plan.
Here’s something you should know about minks: They have lungs and airways remarkably similar on a cellular level to those of people. They’ve spread flus and infected humans before with COVID-19. Right now, bird flu is spreading on a Utah farm filled with thousands of them… 🧵

Major reason I can’t stand most prequel critics because they treat George like a bumbling retard because the characters “talk weird” when most filmmakers could never do this kind of visual callbacks and circular storytelling with imagery across multiple films

This late 1970s photo by Darius Aidala shows the Hollywood sign before the 1978 replacement went up. I’m rather shocked at the state of extreme disrepair that Hollywood’s most famous icon had been allowed to fall into before Alice Cooper decided to do something about it.
