Today we honor my brothers and sisters who fought in the Persian Gulf War as we kick off the National Desert Storm Memorial dedication ceremony this morning in Washington, D.C.. The memorial is located at the National Mall between the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall adjacent to Constitution Avenue. It honors almost a million soldiers, airmen, and sailors from a 42-nation coalition that united in order to liberate Kuwait from Iraq back in 1991. Getting this memorial built was a grassroots effort spearheaded by Marine veteran Scott Stump with many of us, including the nation of Kuwait, contributing in order to raise the $42 million needed to make this happen. Today is a great day!

Replying to @Apple
@Apple thinks packing an A19 chip into a $300 streaming box and mounting an iPad-style screen on your kitchen wall will finally conquer the smart home. Spoiler: It won’t—at least not until Cupertino realizes that true ambient intelligence requires more than just locking users inside another polished walled garden. On this episode of the TechStack, we tear into the newly announced Apple HomeView, question whether anyone actually needs console-grade silicon in an Apple TV 4K, and dissect why hardware partnerships with LG and Schneider Electric still only earn Apple a "B+" until Siri can predict behavior instead of waiting for manually configured routines. One factory. Dozens of connected systems. Do they all need separate networks? At Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2026, I caught up with Ryan Bowman to see how @TMobileBusiness uses hybrid 5G and Edge Control to simplify manufacturing connectivity👇 T-Mobile for Business Partner | #GartnerIT

AI is leaving the screen, and Infineon wants to power its next move. Its Physical AI Growth Lab gives startups a path from prototypes to working machines. The timing couldn’t be better as Infineon’s “always interesting” OktoberTeK kicks off later this morning. I’ll be there. My take regarding the real opportunity: turning impressive demos into machines that deliver. Sensors, power, connectivity, and control will determine whether physical AI becomes an industrial growth engine. #Infineon #PhysicalAI #Robotics #OktoberTeK #Innovation @BrettBFaulk #AgnesToan @Thinkers360 @TechNewsWorld #DajanaScherr #EranRosenberg #AllanFrederiksen @Infineon @NVIDIA #MaherMatta @Microsoft

Lots of enablers lining up for physical AI. Infineon’s partnership with startups is a great program.

📌 I was lucky ☘️ to have a chance to sit down with my friend--the smart, savvy analyst Maribel Lopez for this episode of ClearTech Loop So yeah, AI Can Make Decisions. But Can Your Business Trust Them was the topic we noodled over. And we discussed why accountability, business outcomes and context determine whether executives can stand behind AI-driven decisions. One of the things that stayed with me after speaking with Maribel was how closely AI governance is becoming tied to something bigger: trust. We're spending a tremendous amount of time talking about what AI can do. Can it automate a process? Analyze information faster? Make decisions without human intervention? Those capabilities matter, but they lead to a more fundamental question: can we trust the decisions our AI systems make, and can we explain them when they're challenged? For business leaders, that question comes down to accountability, meaningful outcomes and the context behind every decision. 👂 Listen to the full episode: youtu.be/3wyRnnmZAjY ➡️ Stay in the Loop. #SmartTechResearch's take: AI has a power problem, and more GPUs won’t fix it. @Infineon and @NVIDIA are tackling the electrical bottleneck with 800 VDC architectures and gallium nitride technology. Less wasted energy. Less heat. More compute density. The next AI breakthrough could start with how we power it. #Infineon #NVIDIA #AI #GaN @BrettBFaulk @Thinkers360 @TechNewsWorld

📡 What does a future-ready network actually look like? At #GartnerIT, Shawn Settar from @TMobileBusiness explained how AI is helping networks move beyond reacting to problems, towards anticipating them. And some of the real-world examples were fascinating. 👇 @TMobileBusiness Partner | Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2026

Hey folks, this is a big deal, so listen up! The #NSA issued an urgent warning this morning over two critical #PHP #security flaws that could put websites all over the world at risk. You already know that PHP-powered #WordPress instances account for over 40% of the web and PHP sites in general represent as many as 70% of websites on the #Internet. Organizations have been urged to take their affected systems offline if they cannot be immediately patched/secured. We’re looking at CVE-2026-109618 & CVE-2026-109619 that allow unauthenticated remote code execution in PHP. As you might imagine, outages are being reported all over the globe.

Agree … @Samsung is well, making steps, in the wearables and wellness space with AI-driven insights. And the introductory price point of its suite of its devices make them more ‘globally’ accessible!
Mark's take: @Apple doesn’t own the digital health conversation. Samsung Health is raising the stakes with Sleep Coaching that starts with three days of data and Scan Meal, which turns food photos into nutritional insights. The opportunity goes beyond counting steps: help people build better sleep routines, understand their meals and make smarter daily choices. Samsung is becoming a compelling alternative in connected wellness. Turning those insights into lasting habits will be the real test. #SamsungHealth #DigitalHealth #WearableTech #ConnectedWellness #SmartTechResearch #GerryMcMaster @BrettBFaulk @Thinkers360 @TechNewsWorld @Samsung
