📣 PSC 101: What Is a Public Hearing? Have you ever seen a notice about a Missouri Public Service Commission public hearing and wondered what it means or why it matters? Public hearings give Missourians an opportunity to share their experiences, opinions and concerns about utility matters before the Commission. These hearings help the PSC hear directly from the people and communities who may be affected by a case. For example, when a regulated utility requests a change to its rates or proposes certain utility infrastructure projects, public input can help the Commission better understand how the matter may affect customers and their communities. What can you do at a public hearing? 🔹 Share your perspective or concerns about the issue. 🔹 Explain how the matter may affect you or your community. 🔹 Learn more about the proceeding and the issues being considered.
