We did it! 🙌🥳 My statement on the historic repeal: Today, I stand in profound relief and gratitude as I reflect on the repeal of the presumption of contact, a moment I witnessed firsthand. I'm grateful to the @MoJGovUK for inviting me and others in to personally share the news that the presumption was finally being repealed. I cried tears of joy and relief, and profound sadness at the harm the presumption of contact caused in my life and many others. This is not just a law change, it is victory and vindication for countless families whose lives have been fractured by a system that, for too long, prioritised presumptions over people. The presumption of contact devastated my life. It placed me, and many others, in impossible situations, where the family court system failed to prioritize the safety and well-being of those it was meant to protect. That pain fueled my resolve, and since 2018, I have campaigned tirelessly for reform. I demanded the repeal from every responsibile Minister and Secretary of State during the last 7 years who all made excuses, and said it couldn't be done. It's always impossible until it's done. This repeal is a testament to the power of persistent advocacy and the courage of survivors who held the line. It is a step toward a family court system that listens, protects, and prioritises the needs of children and families above rigid assumptions. While this moment marks progress, the fight for a fairer, more compassionate justice system continues. I dedicate this victory to every person who has suffered under the old rules and every voice that refused to be silenced. Thank you to all who supported this cause and stood by me during this most difficult journey. Thank you to those who finally heard us. Together, we have made history, but there is much more work to do. Natalie Page

Here's your reminder that 98% of rapists walk free, among us.
1 in 4 women in the UK have been raped or sexually assaulted since the age of 16 6 in 7 rapes against women in the UK are carried out by someone they know
5 in 6 women who are raped in the UK don’t report it to the police
Fewer than 3 in 100 rapes recorded by UK police in 2024 resulted in someone being charged that same year It is an abhorrent crime committed by cowards. Every perpetrator put in prison is a blessing.

Tonight in Parliament I was honoured to be named Campaigner of the Year. This recognition belongs to every survivor mother and child who has trusted me with their story, every person who has walked alongside my campaign and everyone who refuses to accept that the family courts can keep harming the people they are meant to protect. Thank you to Right to Equality, the judges, the nominators, and everyone who made this evening possible. Having my work accoladed in Parliament means a great deal to me. The system is still the weapon for too many families. This award changes nothing about the work that remains, but it reminds me why I keep going. Grateful tonight. Still fighting tomorrow! 📕The System Is The Weapon amzn.eu/d/0fMYKCDT 🆘️Cases: instruct me direct - nataliepage.co.uk/cases/

This is an appalling campaign - vindictive fathers attempting to criminalise protective mothers. Thank you for flagging it up.
🚨🚩WARNING: PAPA is running a PUBLIC SNITCH campaign that treats protective parents as criminals. These posters plastered on lampposts aren’t “awareness.” They’re a bounty system. They tell the public to report neighbours to PAPA and the authorities for “parental alienation,” list “single-parent households” as a red-flag indicator, and dangle cash rewards for information that leads to a conviction. Parental alienation is not a crime. It is a contested, repeatedly criticised concept that the UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women has called a “pseudo-concept” abused in family courts to discredit allegations of domestic violence and keep children with the parent they are rejecting. [Source:Ohchr] The indicators on the poster are so broad they can be applied to almost any parent who has left an abusive relationship, limited contact because of safety concerns, or simply told the truth about what happened. Anxiety in a child, “adult language,” reluctance to see the other parent, or living in a single-parent home can all be reframed as evidence of the custodial parent’s wickedness. That is not child protection. That is a ready-made script for abusers and their allies to pathologise the parent who is trying to keep the children safe. Groups like Women’s Aid and the Ministry of Justice’s own expert panel have documented exactly this pattern: parental alienation allegations are used to silence, threaten and discredit survivors of domestic abuse in private law proceedings. When a campaign encourages members of the public to surveil and report families on the basis of these criteria, and offers money for doing so, it is not neutral. It is intimidation dressed up as civic duty. You can believe children benefit from relationships with both parents where it is safe. You can also recognise that a gestapo-like, street-level snitch campaign, complete with rewards and a warning that “alienators are operating in your area,” is a dangerous escalation. It turns neighbours into unpaid informants and treats every protective parent as a suspect.

The family court is more than just an old boys club. It's the high temple of the patriarchy. It takes a mother who has left an abusive man and forces her to hand her children back to him. It silences her. It blames her for protecting them. It treats his desire for control as a right and her resistance as the problem. This is not justice. It is social engineering. A system designed to maintain male authority over women and children long after the relationship has ended. The family court doesn’t just fail to protect. It actively reinforces who is allowed to have power inside the family. 📚The System Is The Weapon amzn.eu/d/0fMYKCDT 🆘️ If you're in court or at risk of being in court instruct me directly: nataliepage.co.uk/cases/

An abusive partner does not suddenly become a safe or good parent when the relationship ends. The same man who used violence, control, and fear against the mother will often use the same tactics against the children, or use them to continue controlling her. Family court frequently ignores this. It treats fatherhood as separate from the abuse, and orders contact as if the two can be cleanly divided. They cannot. The man who was dangerous in the relationship is still dangerous as a parent. The system that forces children into contact with him is choosing not to see it. You escaped the abuse. Then the family court handed him the power to continue it. Forced contact. Mother-blame. Silence. Proximity. The system is not failing by accident. It is working exactly as it has been allowed to - as a weapon. The System Is The Weapon amzn.eu/d/0fMYKCDT

Life without parole for murdering his first wife, but the Minnesota family court is pushing joint legal custody and prison visits. The mother is even ordered to mediate with him. If a wife-murderer keeps parental rights, the system isn’t broken. It’s working precisely as designed - for abusive men. 💫A child just called out PAPA’s so-called “fathers against parental alienation” campaign in their own comments: she wants to stay with her mum, refuses to play along with forced time with her dad, and calls the equal-parenting framing hubris. PAPA’s whole model treats children’s clear rejections as symptoms of a junk-science syndrome that major bodies (including the APA and a UN rapporteur) have refused to recognise as valid. When the kids you’re supposedly “protecting” publicly reject your narrative, it shows yours is a self-serving campaign that pathologises children who don’t fit your story.

In the UK, child maintenance drops when a child spends more nights with the non-resident parent. So when an abusive father who has shown little interest suddenly applies for shared care or increased contact, it is often not about the children. It is about the money. Abusive fathers manipulate narratives. Essential reading from Dr Emma Katz. They use language, distortions, and selective stories to minimise the abuse, present as “good fathers,” and shift blame onto mothers. Family court often accepts it. The truth gets buried. The abuser’s version becomes official. This is how the system gets weaponised. 📰🔗dremmakatz.substack.com/p/ab… 📕The System Is The Weapon amzn.eu/d/0c0SzVcY

This is not a failure of the system, it's working as designed. It is the system deliberately strong-arming victims into ongoing contact with their abusers, and calling it the child’s best interests. The System Is The Weapon. amzn.eu/d/07VygeC4

Thank you @NataliePage for sharing this. We estimate 125,000 and more victims will benefit from protection of this law is passed. @rachelhorman
🚨A known rapist or abuser could be coaching your kids sports team, or working with vulnerable people, or sitting next to you at work - thanks to a family court loophole. 🚩Family court findings of rape, coercive control or harassment don’t reach the police so they don’t show up on DBS checks. It’s not a glitch. It’s the system. I've raised the alarm about this exact loophole for years, and in my book released earlier this year. “The only thing I want from the court is to let me be a mother to my child,” she said. Five years in family court. Still no final order. Still no stability. Iris, who lives in Canada, drives 15 hours so her nine-year-old can see her dad, which affects her work. She can’t live with an unrelated man. Her postpartum depression is used against her. A costs order is being weaponised to try and shut her out. She never asked to cut contact. She simply asked to be allowed to raise her daughter and earn a living. Mothers get the exhaustion. Fathers get the red carpet, and open-ended process. The system calls it best interests. 📕The System Is The Weapon amzn.eu/d/07VygeC4 📰🔗orilliamatters.com/court/so-…

🚨Judge (Ian Lawrie KC) calls a 14-year-old who stabbed a girl ten times with a kitchen knife a “bright lad” and keeps him out of custody because prison is “the last place” for him. This is how boys learn that rejecting them is a crime she will pay for, and he won’t - because that's exactly what happened. 📰🔗telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10… 📕The System Is The Weapon amzn.eu/d/07VMVF9y

In family court, fathers are granted rights. The right to contact, the right to equal time, the right to be promoted to their children. Mothers are given responsibilities. The responsibility to facilitate contact. The responsibility to protect the children. The responsibility to "promote" him. The responsibility to make it all work or be blamed when it doesn’t. This isn’t a level playing field. 📕Read my book: The System Is The Weapon amzn.eu/d/07VMVF9y

🚨A renewed push for mandatory shared care is being sold as fair and child-centred. Its neither. It is a pushback against moves to prioritise safety over contact. Most private law cases involve domestic abuse. Forcing equal time in those cases doesn't protect children, it creates ongoing proximity to an abuser. Children are not units to be divided equally. They need to be safe. 📰Why Mandatory Shared Care is a Terrible Idea: 🔗nataliepage.co.uk/2026/10/26…
