"There's an assumption that people become too old to do these things, but Dan and others like him show that's not true," OMRF's Dr. Benjamin Miller says. "Aging is inevitable, but what he is accomplishing shows you can maintain incredibly high function with an active lifestyle."
A $1 million donation to the OMRF will fund an endowment honoring the legacy of OMRF scientist Dr. Charles T. Esmon.
The funds will create a new endowed graduate student fellowship in cardiovascular biology at OMRF.
