This year alone, more Christians have been killed by Muslims in Nigeria than Gazans in three years of war.
Not a single Muslim or pro-Palestinian activist has protested like they do for Gaza. Weird.

I am shocked, absolutely shocked, that Anthropic ARR has likely gone vertical in October after they cut token prices.
Except the exact same thing happened for the entire AI market, which is why GPU rental prices have surged while token prices declined.
$100b plus in year-end ARR looks possible again.

If you believe in fading extreme positioning (I do, see below) then the way to play it now is natgas. In all prior episodes 200k net shorts was a flow bottom, at these levels shorts don't have much dry powder left.

Where are we in the four stages of denial here?
Obviously many ideologues will reluctantly arrive at this step, while reality forces them to reckon with the confronting empirical evidence.

The Economist admits that third world immigrants commit sex crimes at a much higher level but say it’s nothing to worry about because it’s “hardly an epidemic.” Good to know.

"Let us just summarize the matter by saying that stupidity has murdered and imprisoned more geniuses (and more ordinary people), burned more books, slaughtered more populations, and blocked progress more effectively than any other force in history. It may be no exaggeration to say that stupidity has killed more people than all the diseases known to medicine and psychiatry." ~Robert Anton Wilson, "Prometheus Rising"

I largely agree about the danger, but as I was reading this, I couldn't help thinking about the staggering contradiction. At the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on July 26, 2024, a beheaded Marie-Antoinette appeared to the music of Gojira (a band I actually really like), accompanied by the revolutionary refrain “Ah! Ça ira, ça ira, ça ira, les aristocrates on les pendra” (“The aristocrats, we will hang them”). People all over the world watched the performance. The French Republic has a bloody history, and whatever the more radical ambitions of some May ’68 thinkers, violence has an undeniable place in its political tradition. It just does. Which is why far-left groups that glorify “revolutionary violence” consider themselves heirs to that very heritage, and Jean-Luc Mélenchon is pretty open about his attachment to it as well. So simply insisting that violence has no place in French political battles, in my opinion, misses a much deeper political problem. The question is what that violence seeks to accomplish and against whom. Condemning it is certainly necessary to preserve the state's monopoly on legitimate force and maintain some degree of social cohesion. But without understanding the resentment directed at the Republic itself, such condemnations tell us very little about the political forces driving it.

I captured this video in my lab to show the power of medicines called T-cell engagers.
Left: T cells move in and out of a cancer tumoroid, largely ignoring it.
Right: Add a T-cell engager, and the T cells attack. Once they recognize their targets, they tear through the tumor.
Russian ballistic missiles struck the grounds of a university in Kyiv and the area around it – effectively the campus, Kyoto Park, the area near a metro station, and residential buildings. The exact number of casualties is not yet known. But tragically, there are victims. There are people injured. Rescue operations are underway. There is extensive damage, and there are also reports that people may be trapped under the rubble. All emergency services are at the scene and doing their work – saving lives. The missiles hit very crowded areas, and there is not a single military facility nearby. This was a strike directly on the city, on its infrastructure. Unfortunately, there may be more strikes coming. The attack with “shaheds” is also continuing – against Kyiv and our other cities and communities.
And it is precisely under such circumstances, when the threat is constant, when strikes can come at any moment and target cities and villages directly, that artificial delays in providing air defense to Ukraine help terror. It is important that political agreements be implemented promptly at the team level. It is important that our partners understand that Ukraine needs the proper tools to destroy Russian ballistic missile launchers. This would be the most effective way to save lives. It is important that the world sees that Russia is showing nothing but a desire to kill and continue waging war. Ukraine must not be left to face this alone, and it is solely Russia’s fault that the war is still going on and people are still dying. Please take care of yourselves. All partners should stand with Ukraine – with the protection of lives.
The absolute idiocy of this Bird.
Rocks for brains.
Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.

The most mind blowing stat we've seen so far is this:
"As of June 30, 2026, we had raised an aggregate of $141.1 billion of capital and had cash and cash equivalents of $112.4 billion and short-term investments of $19.3 billion."
That means to date, they have burned 9.7b, they are growing at a rapid pace, and are profitable on an operating income basis as of the June quarter! This is likely the most efficient scaling of a business in the history of capitalism.
