'In February 2022, we had Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, and then the Biden administration weaponised the SWIFT system against Russia, and we froze their sovereign reserves, which meant they weren’t sovereign, they weren’t reserves, and that kicked everything off.
We started to watch the BRICS go into higher gear, figuring out their own cross-border settlement systems and payment rails, and standing up their own credit card services. It accelerated a process that was underway, but that really lit it on fire.
Now we’re seeing that the Chinese yuan is up about 400 per cent in cross-border payment settlement, still only about 8 per cent of world trade, but that’s up from 2 per cent just before the 2022 action by the Biden administration. China is also allowing people to convert offshore yuan into gold at offshore gold centres, and that puts the trust into it, because the most important part of a currency system, a money system, is trust.'

What it means is though, there’s so much abundance and wealth in the Americas. Every country in this hemisphere has the ability to cooperate together and to exploit and trade those resources together with each other first before seeking to sell them to China or Russia, we have the ability here to attract.
America still has a powerful attractiveness to it economically. We have to be able to rest on that and stop using military first and covert means.’
