A deep dive into nova, covering the in-chat capabilities for recall, research and reasoning powers, as well as customising and creating new agents. This has been a labour of love for the past year and I’m over the moon to show you what me and @asknova_ai have been up to.
One thing that still amazes me about Meta VR Glasses is how much technology we’ve managed to fit into such a small form factor, with the rest packed into a sleek, compact, beautifully designed puck.
Around 100 grams 🤯, and an entire VR/MR experience right in front of your eyes!
Once you start running your own apps & games on them, you’ll be blown away by how light and powerful they are!
I honestly believe this is a huge step forward for VR/MR! 🕶️🚀
Most of what I've built this year runs on a thing I call samcloud. It helps manage access to computers for me and my agents, via ssh. It has scopes and boundaries, so agents and humans can access and administer discrete environments, and share services.
Its been a goal to opensource things for a while, so expect more. This is also such a fundamental building block to how I manage compute, coordination between envs, and the outer edge of my thinking there, that I wanted it legible, to help me talk about other things.
But I'll hopefully maintain it, and am also a bit nervous (I've sanitized as best I could but no better way to expose an exploit in my core infra - urk!) but am open to contributions, suggestions and bug reports.

An underrated insight from cybernetics is that you can build something precise out of imprecise parts. Individual components can be inaccurate if you have a negative feedback loop, because the output depends mostly on how accurately you measure it, not the quality of the parts.
gonna ship something maybe today that's been my main focus as a personal project pretty much all year. i've put a fair bit of time, thought, testing, and iterations into it, i use it 70% of my time, and for the right subset of people it could be really helpful
i'm going to open source it, which has been a goal for the past few years (share more of my work as open source, contribute to the collective that has given so much to me) ... a bit nervous as it puts your work under scrutiny (which is good) but also want it as a building block
of certain ideas i have, and ways work working, that i can point to and say, right now I'm doing x, which applies or utilises this system or workflow established here. i don't expect it to have a massive uptake but am excited to put some of my tools on the table!

If someone else can recalibrate your bots without your permission, they’re not your bots. Businesses need local agents on cloud infra, or on prem

Architecture. The set of significant design decisions that shape the form and function of a system.
What Bob calls “the high level gestalt of the system” is what I call its architecture.
And for a software-intensive system, architecture has always been far more important than any details of its implementation.
This is infinitely more beautiful than any fictional representation of plasma or any other random scifi cgi energy bullshit oh my fucking god it's so pretty
JUST IN🚨: Scientists have captured the first ever high-speed, full-color footage of fusion plasma swirling inside a working reactor.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This footage is not breaking news ("JUST IN"). The video was released in 2025 by Tokamak Energy, showing plasma inside their ST40 reactor.
