What does it take to prepare the next generation to lead a free society? At the @ReaganInstitute’s recent #RISE2026 summit, Senator @SenToddYoung made the case that civic education is about more than understanding how government works – it’s about developing the character, humility, and respect needed to sustain our democracy.

I helped secure more than $11 million in federal funding from @USDOT modernize the port at Burns Harbor in northwest Indiana. Indiana’s location along the Great Lakes gives our state a unique advantage in moving goods, and this investment will expand shipping operations and support American commerce. Thank you to @SecDuffy for his partnership in supporting this important project.

I write in @IBJNews about how the Great Lakes states can lead the way on drone development.   The Midwest is the America’s Autonomous Heartland, where the systems that will guard our security and grow our economy will be designed, tested and built.   ibj.com/articles/u-s-sen-tod…

Bob Knight was a basketball genius who made a tremendous impact on the players he coached, the IU community, and the entire state of Indiana. Today, a stretch of State Road 45/46 near Assembly Hall was renamed Bob Knight Memorial Way. Our team joined the Knight family and community leaders in Bloomington to honor Coach Knight’s legacy.

We stopped building ships here at home, and as a result, we’ve become too dependent on other countries for our commercial shipping needs. It’s time to build American ships again.

I spoke with @BizBriefing about why I am pushing to ban Congress from trading individual stocks. Members of Congress should be focused on serving the American people, not their own stock portfolios.
