We're remembering the transformative leadership of renowned neuroscientist Gerry Fischbach, who died Sunday at 87.
Fischbach founded the Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) in 2006, inspired the launch of our neuroscience collaborations, and provided invaluable guidance as a member of our board.

Last week, Simons Foundation president @DavidSpergel spoke about our international partnership with the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and its planned redevelopment for a new energy-efficient facility that will create modern spaces for research, education, events and accommodation.
"We are longtime backers of the ICTP, supporting its place as a haven for physicists from around the world to gather and collaborate," he said. Around 4K scientists from more than 150 countries participate in ICTP activities each year.
