The cover athletes of College Football 2027:
Kewan Lacy - out indefinitely (shoulder)
Malachi Toney - out indefinitely (ankle)
Dante Moore - out indefinitely (concussion)
The curse of the cover athlete continues, this time in college football. Three of the best athletes in the sport are not playing.
Breaking: Malachi Toney has a high ankle sprain and will have surgery, which will allow him to return for the College Football Playoff, sources told @PeteThamel.
The timeline for return from this injury is typcially at least four weeks.

After Ole Miss knocked off Georgia in 2024, Kirby Smart said this:
“That’s a great atmosphere to play a game in. They create a tough environment to snap and run plays. You will never understand what it’s like to go play when you can’t hear anything.”
Ole Miss has still not lost a home game since this moment.
This weekend is a playoff game in November. DOUBLE THE NOISE and do not leave that stadium with a voice. Lets go, Rebs 🗣️🗣️

Ole Miss is getting a visit from a 5 star this weekend, instead of going to Notre Dame.
If you’ve looked still think this school, staff, program, etc hasn’t changed in the eyes of the national landscape, think again.
Now let’s get this commitment done 👀
NEW: Ole Miss flipped No. 7 overall prospect Asher Ghioto away from his Notre Dame visit this weekend. The 5-star EDGE will instead be in Oxford to see No. 2 Georgia take on the Rebels 🦈

Let's end this motherfucker's career this weekend. Fuck Steve Sarkisian and fuck the Texas Longhorns. 🇹🇹
NEW: Steve Sarkisian on Ole Miss’ transfer portal practices and academic standards:
“At Texas, we will only take 50% of a player’s academic credit hours. You may be a semester from graduating, but you’re going all the way back to 50% if you play here and want a degree. But at Ole Miss, they can take you. All you have to do is take basket weaving, and you can get an Ole Miss degree.”
