For many of our fellows, the difference is not just in skill, but access to mentorship, guidance, and a community that takes their work seriously. #WritersCommunity #AfricanWriters #SprinngImpact

Have you read Mouthful of Cinders? It’s always meaningful to see our alumni community not just writing, but putting work like this into the world—work that stays with you. #SprinngSpotlight #SprinngAlumni

There’s a point in every writer’s journey where you have to decide how seriously you want to take your craft. As Michael Okafor puts it, the fellowship can guide you, but the real work is in what you do outside the sessions; that discipline is what lasts. #Sprinng #Sprinngat10

We recently surveyed 48 alumni from the #Sprinng Writing Fellowship to understand their journeys after the program. One thing is clear: Our fellowship is not just about mentoring writers; it is about building a foundation that supports their growth long after the program ends.

For many writers, growth begins with a single opportunity to be guided and challenged. For Sapphire, that moment came through Sprinng and she’s been building on it ever since. ✨ Keep on Sprinnging, Sapphire! 💚 #SprinngWritingFellowship #SprinngAt10 #Sprinng

From drafts… to discipline. There’s a moment every writer reaches — when you stop writing just to finish, and start writing to make your work better. Shoutout to Sapphire Mclaniyi-Agbley, our 2025 fellowship alumna, for constantly challenging herself and choosing growth! 💚

Congratulations to our co-founder and board chair, Kanyin Olorunnisola, on his debut poetry collection. Copies are available through the University of Chicago Press: tinyurl.com/Araluebo #NewRelease #BookRelease
