When we're younger, it's about the vehicles; Hot Wheel trike, bike, car, SUV. Now it's about the appliances. Got me a super sweet Black & Decker pivot hand vac, fully loaded. It took care of the down & dirty first run through. Oh yeah

"Blue Bayou" (2021): I didn't know that many adopted children are deported because their parents did not apply for US citizenship for their child. This movie explores those consequences to one family. Well-done.

I had the pleasure of meeting Olivia Newton John many years ago when I played celebrity tennis. Saddened to hear about this lovely lady. #RIPOliviaNewtonJohn
I wanted to be just like Olivia Newton John when I was a tween. Rest in peace. Thanks for the music

"Thirteen Lives" (2022): Amazon Prime. I have watched 2 docs on the story of the rescue of the Thai soccer team trapped in a flooded cave. This fictionalized version will get a wider audience. Excellent underwater effects. Too long at 150 minutes, though.

"Men in black" (1997): I had only seen the 2nd installment but this franchise debut is funny and engaging.

"Finding you" (2020): sweet, romantic film set in Ireland. Vanessa Redgrave superb. The acting is uniformly good. Some nice twists and thoughtful dialogue.

"Mike & Dave need wedding dates" (2016): Part of a library Binge Box set, "Something borrowed." Absurd farce that has its moments but can be tedious in places. Let's hope that there isn't a sequel. Incredibly based on a real-life event & book.
Installed two sets of blackout curtains in two rooms. Making a huge difference with keeping out the heat.
The crazy thing is that I was just at her house last weekend, downloading apps to her ipod & ipad. I put/saved her information in them. I walked her through the process several times. I wrote down the steps in bullet point format. She does her own thing & gets frustrated.
Mom called back again. She cannot get Overdrive to work. She was googling it & getting a different system. I walked her back to HER library. She doesn't like that. She wants to use the first thing that pops up on Google.
Oh good heavens, Mom called back. She doesn't like Libby. She prefers Overdrive. Fine, Mom. You can use Overdrive.
