For the first time an American B-52 was escorted by British F-35s, whilst working alongside Norwegian F-35s. A milestone for the UK, USA and Norway, and another example of what can be achieved when allies work as one.

26 years ago today, the X-35A took to the skies for the first time, paving the way for what would become a global fleet of 1,375+ F-35s delivered and more than 1 million flight hours logged.
