With temperatures reaching exceptional highs and the heat set to continue, we're seeing more vehicle breakdowns than usual. We're also experiencing significantly higher call volumes, so it may be taking us longer than normal to answer your call and get to you.
If you're travelling during the heatwave, please take extra care. Here are a few simple ways to stay safe in the sun ☀️:
🚗 Make sure you pack plenty of water, sunscreen, any essential medication and an umbrella for shade, and keep your phone charged.
🛞 Check your tyres, coolant and battery before setting off, especially if you're planning a long journey.
💛 If you do break down, stay safe and keep yourself hydrated while you wait for assistance.
🏡 If you're broken down at home, please wait to report your breakdown if you can, so we can help the most vulnerable people on the roads first.
📱 If you're in a safe location, the quickest way to report a breakdown is through our app, and you can track your Patrol right to your side.

With the cold and stormy weather, breakdowns can happen more often. If you are heading out, please take extra care and here are our tips ❄️🚗:
👉 If you’re in a safe location, the quickest way to report a breakdown is on our app – and you can track your Patrol right to your side.
👉 If you need to travel, wrap up warm and pack a blanket, food and water – just in case.
👉 If it’s snowing, leave extra time for your journey and be careful – stopping distances can be 10 times greater on icy roads.
