Not your standard deconstruction project. Before the UK's new tallest skyscraper can rise, teams must carefully dismantle an existing 1960s tower in the heart of the City of London.
More and more construction companies are choosing to manage complex projects like this with @Dropbox See how Dropbox can keep your documents and project information organised and accessible 👉 bit.ly/4zzYQzx

One of football’s most iconic stadiums is set to be partially demolished, and its replacement has just been revealed. AC Milan and Inter Milan have unveiled plans for the 71,500-seat new Generali Stadium, designed by Foster + Partners and MANICA to replace the legendary San Siro.
The new stadium will be built alongside the existing ground, allowing both clubs to continue playing there during construction before much of the historic structure is demolished.
The new venue's distinctive exterior features a concrete X-frame supporting a sweeping, double-curved roof. Inside, two tiers of seating will wrap around the pitch, with steep stands rising at up to 37 degrees behind each goal to bring supporters closer to the action.
The project follows years of debate over the future of San Siro, which first opened in 1926. Previous plans for a replacement designed by Populous were abandoned following disputes over the site’s heritage.
Construction is now expected to begin in 2028, with the first match targeted for the 2031-32 season, subject to planning approvals.
It's hoped the Generali Stadium can be ready for Italy's co-hosting of the UEFA Euros in 2032.

China’s Sany IROOTECH Headquarters has been named the Best Tall Building Worldwide for 2026 by @CVUrbanism. Designed by @SOM_Design, the project features two towers rising 204-metres and 186-metres above Guangzhou.
Both towers feature exposed steel-and-concrete exoskeletons that support the floors from outside the buildings, creating flexible, column-free interiors. The structures have been designed to withstand earthquakes, using specially engineered connections that dissipate energy through friction during major seismic events.
Every fifth floor features a planted terrace, while an elevated podium connects the towers and frees up ground-level space for a public plaza, gardens and pedestrian routes.
Commissioned by Chinese construction machinery giant Sany Group, the complex was constructed in just three years.
The project also picked up awards for Best Tall Building in Asia, Best Tall Building between 200-299 metres, and structural engineering.
The project beat competition including New York’s 270 Park Avenue, which took the award for the best skyscraper over 300-metres.

WE DID IT!!! @GetConstTalking has raised over $1M for construction's mental health charities around the world – and an anonymous donor has just committed a further $1M over the years ahead!
That's a $2M investment into improving mental health in construction. It's seismic, and will help turn the tide on this issue, ultimately saving lives 🙏
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has made a donation in support of this cause, and to @procoretech for walking and the walk and helping us make such an impact with the Get Construction Talking campaign.
To receive and celebrate these two pieces of incredible news at Groundbreak 2026 in Orlando was an unforgettable experience. It meant the world to me to stand with @theCIASP's Sonya Bohman on stage and share in such an emotional moment.
Most of all, I was proud to stand alongside my friend, Procore's Sasha Reed. No one has been a greater support to this cause. No has fought harder or been more consistent in driving us to this extraordinary milestone. We were both worried that raising $1M might be too ambitious – then this amazing industry went and committed $2M 🤩

This 32-storey skyscraper could be constructed in Houston. Designed by Texas-based STG Design, O27 will contain more than 520,000 square feet of office space, with a series of outdoor terraces running up its curving exterior.
The tower’s distinctive shape has been developed using computational design, allowing its curved exterior to accommodate efficient, repeatable office floorplates. Triangular glass panels will wrap the building, while a nine-storey parking podium will support a landscaped terrace.
The project is being developed by Broadview Real Estate on the site of a former hotel at 4701 Westheimer Road, close to Houston’s Galleria district.
The developer is targeting completion in 2028, although a construction start date and equity partner have yet to be confirmed.
The proposal comes as Houston sees renewed interest in high-end office development, with several major schemes planned or underway across the city.

Armenia is about to get a new tallest building. Designed by Foster + Partners, the towers will rise as part of $470M World Trade Center Yerevan -- a major mixed-use development in Yerevan, the Armenian capital.
The project features two interconnected towers rising to 224 and 200 metres, containing offices, a hotel, residences and shared amenities. Three elevated connections will link the buildings, incorporating landscaped terraces and communal spaces. The towers are set to be formed from stacked seven-storey sections, with concrete frames and steel bracing engineered to withstand seismic activity in the earthquake-prone region.
At ground level, the buildings will be raised to free up 50% of the site for public space. The development will include landscaped plazas, retail, entertainment venues and an events space capable of accommodating 3,000 people.
The masterplan also draws on architect Alexander Tamanian’s historic vision for Yerevan as a garden city, extending an existing green corridor through the development.
Demolition work has already begun on the site of the former General Post Office building. The project is targeting completion in 2030.

What a milestone. Thanks to an incredibly generous donation from Bob Gardner and Gardner Builders, the @GetConstTalking campaign has now raised $963,791 for construction’s mental health charities across the US, UK and Australia, and is closing in on its $1M target ✊
I want to say a massive thank you to everyone that's donated so far. While a number of large organisations and prominent leaders have made amazing contributions, the overwhelming number of small personal donations shows the incredible grassroots support there is for tackling this issue.
These crucial funds are helping construction’s leading mental health charities around the world provide the vital support and resources our industry needs. If you’re able to, we’d love you to make a donation 👉 getconstructiontalking.org/d…
Get Construction Talking was founded by myself, @TheB1M and @procoretech to raise awareness and drive action around mental health in construction, using the power of our two companies to lift up and shine a light on the important and urgent work happening in this area.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone at Procore's Groundbreak 2026 in Orlando next week! Get Construction Talking is teaming up with the @theCIASP to run a very exciting coffee activation where we are hoping to take our fundraising total to $1M.
