ALT The cost-of-living crisis is likely to impact mental health. The REACH Study is an ongoing cohort study exploring mental health among young people in London, led by the ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health at King's. During the pandemic, living in overcrowded and low-income households were found to be key factors that negatively impacted family mental health. These negative impacts of the pandemic are likely to be exacerbated by the current cost-of-living crisis and the imminent recession, causing further anxiety and distress.
