This entertaining @KCStar review of a Kansas City #vegan restaurant called Tree Hugger is compromised by the title ("I nearly starved trying to eat vegan"), which feeds into the misconception that finding #plantbased options is difficult. With this title, #KCStar editors are inadvertently scaring readers away from veganism or giving them an excuse to dismiss it as unviable. Given the devastating impact of animal agriculture on the planet, our health and the animals, consumers need to know that making the switch to a plant-based diet is easier than ever. kansascity.com/news/local/ar… cc: @AndaleGross @Ian__Cummings @gregfarmerKC

This @BBCNews headline ("Vegan lunches 'do not promote sustainability'") is misleading. Despite the claims of animal farmers and elected officials who want meat to be served at government events, #plantbased meals are more sustainable, as they emit far fewer greenhouse gases. (They're also healthier and cruelty-free.) #BBCNews editors - When selecting headlines, please be mindful about using language that will be misconstrued by many readers. In this instance, the quotation marks in the title aren't helpful. cc: @rburgessbbc @Jgibbins @jonathancmunro bbc.com/news/articles/cev08k…
