Chris in Scotland signing the #PledgeTogether👏 The national Digital ID proposal was defeated - but the risk of digital control has not gone away One Login, the GOV UK App and Wallet, digital credentials and identity checks could still grow into Digital ID in all but name That is why The Pledge still matters It is a simple but serious commitment to refuse Digital ID - whatever label it may be given Read more and take the Pledge: togetherdeclaration.org/pled…

VACCINE DAMAGE PAYMENT SCHEME: One-off payments to Covid jab victims are "totally and utterly inappropriate" As @paulfrewDUP points out, the VDPS in no way reflects the real costs/lost earnings families may face over a lifetime VDPS must be reformed @UKLabour @Conservatives @reformparty_uk @LibDems

Haidt is not an academic, he's a political actor making millions pushing a political agenda. He discredited himself by relentlessly lying abt an entire academic field that overwhelmingly refutes his false claims. It's good Meta is putting resources into getting the truth out
Meta had an internal PR plan to try and discredit Jon Haidt because he was a critic of social media. Meta was going to recruit academics, like Andrew Gelman, to write take down pieces. They were trying to turn academics against one another through a "whisper strategy". This is a very serious problem for open academic debate. If academics who share negative evidence about a platform are targeted by campaigns to smear our credibility, we are in deep, deep trouble. This creates a very serious conflict of interest for anyone who is paid to do this. law360.com/articles/2542517/…

"Papers Please" to get online? This is "an assault on parenting" @alanvibe Before putting millions of adults through an ID checkpoint to access social media, the Government and the platforms should have to explain why the information they already have isn't enough - and how requiring every single user to prove their age using government-issued ID can possibly be: - Necessary - Proportionate - Or indeed safe in itself - given databases are compromised ALL THE TIME #dontidtheinternet

"Covid Jab Victim Who Lost Use Of Hands “Not Disabled Enough” for Compensation" "The bigger story here is surely that the AstraZeneca trial was not ended and the jab withdrawn when this occurred – we can only wonder at what strings were being pulled behind the scenes to keep the show on the road." dailysceptic.org/2026/10/16/…

Minister Lisa Nandy says the Govt plans new law requiring major tech companies to build government-mandated “protections” directly into phones and tablets Nandy wants to take state control beyond websites and platforms - and right into the devices you own We say: stop digital ID and age verification systems that function as identity checks, plus device-level surveillance on apps and phones in the UK. Protect parental control and privacy. Protect the open internet. #dontidtheinternet

OFCOM: Ofcom was set up to regulate telecoms and broadcasting in 2003. Today, it has more than 1,600 staff and a remit that reaches deep into what we see and say online. There may be a legitimate role for tightly limited technical and economic regulation. That does not give the state a right to control lawful expression or decide which opinions reach an audience. Many would argue Ofcom’s online speech remit should be removed, and we should explicitly prohibit regulatory interference in the ranking or promotion of lawful news and opinion.

7th November. There is work to be done and that can make a difference.
In the last year since Together’s last event we’ve all had 3 major victories 1 We all saw off mandatory Digital ID for work in that form. Starmer’s albatross. (We still face massive issues One Login Social media ban ) BUT if no fightback we’d have that in place now 2. Farmers IHT U turn 3. Assisted Suicide Bill This shows what can happen when we all campaign, leaflet, lobby, do events, protests, activations and press as a concerted combined active force with the public at the front and centre We’ve got much more work to do on free speech, privacy & ongoing attempts to force digtial id so come along on Sat 7 Nov @Togetherdec Link below👇
