What began as a search for an internship became an ambitious effort to preserve Genesee County's medical history for University of Michigan-Flint student researcher Noah Lutz. Through archival research and community contributions, Lutz and his fellow researchers are uncovering stories that might otherwise be lost while creating opportunities for students and residents to help preserve the region's past for future generations.

Some stress was handled … one pumpkin at a time. 🎃💥🤭 Our Wolverines showed up, grabbed a pumpkin, and let it ALL out! Sometimes, you just need a moment to pause, release some tension, and make room to breathe. Consider this your reminder that taking care of yourself can look different every day. 🫶

Sometimes the best way to relieve stress is to make a little mess. 💛💙 UM-Flint students took that idea to heart during the annual Smashing Pumpkins event, hosted by Counseling & Psychological Services. The hands-on activity offered a chance to step away from the pressures of the semester, release some tension and turn ordinary pumpkins into extraordinary piles of pulp.
