Every AI answer starts with one decision: search, or answer from training data. No search means no index and no citations. Which index each engine reads when it does search: writesonic.com/blog/ai-engin… #Writesonic #AEO #GEO

We checked 15,716 Google AI answers on B2B buying searches. 21.7% cited a competitor’s website. In more than half of those, the brand the buyer actually searched for wasn’t cited at all. The riskiest type of search was over 4x worse than the safest. And a few brands are already using this to show up on their competitors’ searches. We worked with Foundation Marketing on the data. Wow. We had so many great conversations around AI search visibility and how to action it at brightonSEO! We smiled, you smiled, and somewhere in between it all turned to coconuts. Thank you for the love, Brighton. #brightonSEO #Writesonic #AISearch

Claude switched to a new search index on Oct 5. Anthropic’s release notes don’t mention it. We spotted it in our own search logs. If you track Claude visibility, read this before your next report: writesonic.com/blog/claude-n… #AISearch #Claude #Writesonic

Claude changed how it searches the web, and we found something interesting. Full investigation in our latest X Article ↓

Claude changed its search index on October 5th and didn't tell anyone. We measured it … We ran the same 50 prompts through Claude's standard and extended search modes and compared every cited domain. The two modes share just 10% of them. Wikipedia went from 14 citations in extended mode to 1 in standard mode. Forbes went from 12 to 1. Meanwhile, a small pricing site showed up in 22% of standard-mode answers. The authority that gets you cited on Google doesn't carry over to Claude's default search. Here’s what does. writesonic.com/blog/claude-n… (Shoutout to @fenilsuchak at @openbenchmarks (YC F24) for noticing it first, and for Tarsh at Writesonic for pulling the data together!) #AEO #GEO #Claude #AISearch

We have added Muse Spark tracking to Writesonic. You can now see what Meta’s model says about your brand and how it compares you with competitors. You can read the full answers and check which pages it cites, all within Writesonic. If you are already tracking questions your buyers ask, this gives you another view of who gets recommended and why your brand might be missing. We have put together a short walkthrough here: writesonic.com/blog/muse-spa…

YouTube gave brands a bigger citation lift (2.8x) than Reddit (2.4x). Also worth knowing: up to 75% of AI answers that cite a brand's page never mention the brand by name.
