kinda-TLDR: When I was invited to illustrate a card for Azuki TCG, I knew I wanted to create more than just an image. I wanted to tell a story. I chose every line, color, and symbol to carry a sense of myth and memory. So that when players hold the card, they feel part of a larger world. It was both challenging and rewarding. Sketching countless variations, refining details until they felt alive, and layering meaning so the illustration could resonate beyond the playing field. When the brief for Kino arrived, I was instantly excited. It was a meaningful piece but it was also silly and annoyingly funny. It feels surreal to be trusted to portray this unique story. Azuki did God's work by onboarding @_Tomugi. It's an honor to be led by him and to learn from him too. The whole process always feel like I enrolled into a super pro art class but I am the one getting paid.🤣 Tbh, I still can't believe it. 🎨: final sketch phase
